I don't associate V with Occupy Wall Street. I see it for what it is, a movie that promotes freedom and condemns totalitarian governments. One of the biggest messages in the movie is that the media is controlling the message and therefore controlling the people. I draw that parallel to what we are seeing today with Ron Paul. To claim that is harmful is absurd.

Just because you don't associate V with Occupy Wall Street, doesn't mean that everyone else doesn't. I see V and Ron Paul the way you do. But the V mask is also associated with Anonymous and is associated with Occupy Wall Street. It is not a good thing to associate Dr. Paul with, because people will most likely interpret it not the way you see it, but with Anonymous or OWS.

Look at what the media did with the Huntsman video... An image like that is bait for the media, and they will spin it whichever way they can to bring Ron Paul down. When we are trying to elect someone, it is not about how you see it, it is about how everyone else perceives it. The way they perceive it, is how they will spread it, whether they are correct or not. As much as I love V, I do not want to jeopardize anything.

To those of you criticizing this poll as unreliable, I have two words for you: self-fulfilling prophesy. We saw what 'polls' did for the rest of them.... people follow. Sure, I want a more reliable polling agency... but this is far better than falling.

Awesome news!!! The surge continues. Too bad everyone that worked hard to be delegates and precinct chairs are not still around from 4 years ago. When I go to my local GOP meetings, I see maybe half of the folks from 2008. Advice to all the newer members (and a reminder to myself)....stay engaged, continue to grow and be ready to do this again in 4 years so we get 40+% of all the votes!!

I love the film V for Vendetta. Heck, I love Alan Moore's graphic novel. I read it as a kid pretty much when it came out, and a dozen times since then.

V is and was an important symbol. Absolutely. But to think that symbol will help now, when we're working on South Carolina, is silly.

Yes, there are many parallels -- we are, after all, working to take down an authoritarian regime and it's propaganda media. But that doesn't make the symbol of V work in South Carolina. Timing is everything and the timing is completely wrong.

Heard that too, not only CNN but also FOX. They are trying their damnedest to breath new life into Newt's campaign. They are all talking about a Newt surge. Do we know the podium positions for the debate yet? I could only imaging Fox putting Newt and Mitt center stage while Top-tier Ron gets put behind Huntsman or something.
