So this is completely hypothetical like the last thread. Please either play along or find a thread more to your liking. Thank you.

So in the other thread several people mentioned Ron being Rand's VP or Fed chair or a position on Rand's cabinet.

So which position would you like to see Ron hold most in a Rand presidency?

1. Vice President

2. Chairman of Federal Reserve

3. Supreme Court Justice

4. Secretary of State

5. Secretary of Treasury

6. Secretary of Defense

he will be an "informal advisor" which is the position Rand said he would want to serve as if he were to be associated with his fathers presidency (he said this last year of course.) Ron's biggest contribution in the coming years will most likely be that of a powerhouse fundraiser. I can see him being the preimminent fundraiser for the GOP in 4 years or so.

VP. Because Ron will be hand in hand with Rand on almost every issue. Including the Fed. Not to mention, he'd have a roll in congress. The Fed chair job would have no say-so in foreign affair or anything else outside of monetary policy.

I would love this! Like how we've been saying it will be hard to raise enough money for our 2014/16 candidates....unless Ron fundraises for them :)

I truly hope he has the health, and of course the will, to do this.

I was about to ask this. What exactly would Ron be able to do as Fed Chair? Could he really just dissolve it?

He could expose everything about it. Which would be a good thing. But I expect the president along with the Attorney General could also do the same thing. If President Rand Paul couldn't get the support of the House and Senate, then he could use an executive order, and Ron Paul could follow through with it.

Peter Schiff for Treasury, Ron Paul running the Gold Commission and Justin Amash for the Supreme Court.

no, let the man retire.

Agreed. If I had to pick a position for him, it would be a really difficult choice between Secretary of State, SECDEF, and Chairman of the Fed. I'm kinda leaning toward Secretary of State, but the long run benefit would probably come from Chairman of the Fed.
