Romney to Endorse McInSane

Say it ain't so.

How many delegates did he have? About 240?

I can't see a majority of them going for McCain, I just can't.

Why is this a surprise to anyone? He practically announced his endorsement during his CPAC speech when he "suspended" his campaign.

I just heard about this on local talk-radio (Nashville).

Correct me if I'm wrong but, I don't think Mitten endorsing McAmnesty automatically gives Mittens delegates to him and I SERIOUSLY doubt that most of Mitten's delegates will jump on the McPain bandwagon. We need to be going after those delegates YESTERDAY.

Not a surprise at all. I just think a lot of folks were hoping he wouldn't actually make it official.

Also, does this mean he's officially dropping out instead of just suspending?

oh this is sickening...im grossed out....i hate romney....he did shit here in boston....and before he left, he left us with a nice surprise about health insurance, foorcing us to get insurance or be fined thousands

This confirms that the moron dropped out just so he can have fellow establishment member McCain win.

McCain will lose to Obama anyway, it doesn't matter who the so called "Republican" party choses.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Mitt Romney, John McCain's former chief rival for the Republican presidential nomination, will endorse the Arizona senator, officials familiar with the decision said Thursday.

Romney will make the endorsement later Thursday at his campaign headquarters in Boston and will release his 280 delegates and ask them to support McCain, said officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to avoid pre-empting the announcement.

The former Massachusetts governor dropped out of the race last week after it became apparent that toppling McCain would be near impossible given his lead in the hunt for convention delegates.

Romney made his decision on Thursday, one official said, in hopes of helping McCain get the delegates he needs to secure the Republican Party nod and unite the GOP while Democrats continue to battle for their own nomination.

The endorsement came together quickly.

Romney's campaign notified McCain's camp after Romney made the decision, and McCain's campaign adjusted its campaign schedule to fly to Boston to accept the endorsement because the senator was campaigning in nearby Rhode Island.
