Rise for Liberty, Moneybomb May 17th - Planning and Promotion

With Ron's recent wins, now is a perfect time to promote this event.

Looks like the numbers are starting to pick up. 731 for the event and 420 page likes. I've seen a few different pages share the ads and links which has helped. That's the quickest way to reach thousands of people's walls at the same time. Hopefully as it grows more will join in and help.

Very nice, the added Facebook "like" button is great. For some reason the "likes" are lagging behind the event, so that should help.

I know that it seems like every MB thread goes nowhere and dies on there but I figured I'd try anyways. Seems like I've seen 100 "We need a money bomb" threads or "We should have a _____ themed money bomb, it should be in 3 days and bring in lots of money... somebody do it", but when you have something that's already set up and tell people how to help it's ignored.

The widget does ask for people that pledge to share, by redirecting them after pledging to a page with share buttons.

It has picked up for sure, I'm also seeing more people on Facebook share the link that comes up after you pledge on the website.

Yes, I would guess that people would be more likely to "like" a page than to even join the event. And I actually think "likes" may be better because every time you post as the page it shows up in their feed, which they can then share with their friends who can share with theirs and so on. Somehow I must've gotten lucky and posted the Romney NDAA ad at the right time on Ron Paul's wall and it's at 105 shares so far. That ad seems to have been the most popular.

I also added a link to the widget in the post I made on the Daily Paul, we'll see if that thread goes anywhere.

If they want to make 2 million in 24 hours they need a very good commercial. Like showing Rons crowds vs Mitts crowds and end with a line saying do republicans want to beat Obama in November? If they do not hit Mitt with polls/crowds the 1.5 million last month will go to under 1 million this month.

This could be an extremely important moneybomb, I know the forums have kept from email spamming its users (Which I appreciate), but now may be the time to pull out all the stops. Just an idea, but this moneybomb needs to spread.

Have you heard back from any websites or Facebook pages? I messaged a few pages but I didn't want to hurt by writing the same ones you did. I was thinking maybe for the stubborn ones, we could offer to let them upload the ads themselves so that when it get's shared it shows up that "Random Dude shared (their page's) photo" - giving them some exposure at the same time. As long as they include a link to the event or page or website.

I contacted over 100 pro-Paul pages with a letter I wrote asking for them to get involved.

I received word back from 2.

Remember that some people complained and said not to donate because it is not official campaign? Maybe it would be good idea to write that all donations are done at official campaign site or that we dont have anything with money or something like that.... I really wish for campaign to put moneybomb pledge or info on their site like they do on money bomb day.....That way we could.... ah nvm.
