Someone sent me a pm with doubts about whether Robinson was the only shooter. There may be others entertaining similar thoughts, so I'm reposting my answer here, fwiw. I posted the vid without comment before, but maybe it deserves an introduction.

I found this vid particularly interesting. The person interviewed goes a long way to sell the lone gunman theory, which I don't buy. But it isn't that I think there was another gunman. I think this Tyler kid could have killed Kirk all by himself, I just don't think he would have if he didn't feel the like part of a group working toward that goal. I think having that old Jew saying, I'll provide a diversion for you, kid, because we're doing the right thing, was instrumental in cementing this man-child's resolve.

So, anyway, the person interviewed there is already somewhat suspect. But he doesn't come across as a geopolitical thinker. He does have a grasp of the mechanics of these things. I don't know the answer you seek, but I think this vid can help you refine and define your questions. That always helps.

Obviously not. But I don't happen to believe people transition from "I'm having daddy issues" to "I need to shoot this particular person or these particular people" all by themselves.
