Rick Santorum Rick Santorum Said He Wants to WIPE OUT Libertarianism!!

People throw around the term "conservative" like it's nothing. What does it really mean?

Well, we know he doesn't believe in individual liberty. Romney is a guy who will tell a terminally-ill person that they have no right to use the only medicine that helps them, and he'll do it with a smirk.
This is actually true. He told a sick cancer patient he'd be sent to jail because he uses Marijuana.

People who don't know what I'm talking about, look it up.

It's a wonder why people even vote for him. "Ohhh, don't fix it if it isn't broken" crap, or some other excuse.

This scum bag can't be allowed within 100 miles of the White House. Downright scary individual.

No way is he electable in the general. Him getting the nomination will just mean another 4 years of Obama, and hopefully deal some devastating blows to the current neoconservative power brokers.

Agreed. Part of me would like to see him get the nomination just to see him get smacked down in landslide. But that would be spiteful.

Maybe it will pass, but I'm pretty much in a mood that could indeed be described as spiteful bitch these days. The GOP loyalists had 4 years to figure out they can't win the Presidential election without some support from the social liberals and libertarians. So let them nominate Santorum, then wail that we are all actually liberals because we refuse to support their brand of Republican, while they don't even pretend to put a single plant that's important to us in the platform.

Because you see, it will be our fault that Obama gets to pick the next two SCOTUS judges. And it will be our fault that <insert Obama program here> doesn't get overturned.

That's the liberal influence - refusing to accept responsibility for their own actions.

they're already working with Obombya and his regime though. so it won't be a blow.

the regime is the regime is the regime.

Well then I guess he is fighting against Reagan...

"If you analyze it I believe the very heart and soul of conservatism is libertarianism."
-Ronald Reagan

If this guy is nominated Ron has to run 3rd party. Has to.

I agree with that. Honestly, I'd be somewhat insulted if he didn't.

In all truth, Santorum scares the crap out of me. He is a freak! All he does is talk about rights and freedoms, and then follows up by telling people they can't do the sticky unless they strictly intended to procreate. He also wants to bomb brown people. Some catholic eyy? If only he practiced what he preached.

Also might I add, Dolphins also are another breed that do sticky for pleasure. We must exile them from the oceans!

tacitly the virginia legislature that sits within 80 miles of the white house has the ability to keep him more than 100 miles away
from the white house if they vote down a bill that would let write-ins happen to the virginia GOP primary. lets hope for the best.

But polls show that the vast majority support medical marijuana rights, so what would be the political purpose of coming out against it? I think it's more of an indication of his true beliefs. (There are many more but that's just an example)

not in the republican party, and definitely not the people that actually vote.

Also people in House and Senate don't represent the people anymore.

Even if it was the case that 70% of the people that voted did in fact support such things, it would all still ultimately depend on a few bunch of people. I find it hard to believe that those that write up bills really do write bills with full consideration of the people they "represent."

Conservative is a relative word. Republican on the other hand, is an absolute word. What is the name of the party he is running with? THe Conservative Party? or the Republican Party. I want a true republican for a President. I pledge allegiance to the republic for which the flag stands.

Hear me on this:

If I were Ron Paul's campaign manager, I'd print out the OP on a cape, and wave it in front of Paul before he went out to speak or debate. I mean, THIS is what gets us ticked-off and fired up. We all know that talking about the same thing for too long gets us bored at times, but to see this and know what the enemy is can make us go off like a fire cracker.
