Now, bear in mind that everybody will have a different opinion on this, (I'll spare you the "opinions - assholes" metaphor) but for what it's worth here's mine.
If the option and funds you have leave you with the choices you mentioned above, go for a quality rifle over an abundance of ammo.
Very simply put, a broken, inaccurate or poorly functioning weapon is going to make the 10k rounds of ammo you have put back pretty worthless.
Get as much "quality" you can afford, stick with the most common rounds available, .308, .223, 7.62 x 39, or 9mm in a pinch, and purchase ammo as sales, bulk offerings or trades come up rather than plunking down hundreds if not thousands of dollars on ammo.
Oh yes, and also make sure you have some basic spare parts as well.
I'm a female and i'm looking for a hunting gun. Something light please as my fathers weighed a ton????Its for pig hunting and goats.
I wish I could get ahold of a cheap arms dealer.... why is it 3rd world rebels can get tons (literally) of AKs for next to nothing... and I have to pay $2,000 for a cheap knock off.

I own two DS Arms rifles. They are, IMO, the single best combat rifle ever made. I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Hey that stock sucks if You want to put a good scope on it. The stock doesn't allow a good cheek weld as I have found out with my M1A.
