Republican primary?

99% reporting now, Dennis is winning with 55%.

I'm confused about why I'm the only one on the forum right now talking about this. I wasn't even following Dennis' race (no good reason, just too busy with the Rand Paul and Peter Schiff campaigns).

Surely there's some celebration due here, no?

Well, it IS (where I live) 1:30 in the morning... :p

Very nice. My apologies for not being up in the middle of the night to celebrate properly.:D

So far i haven't found a single news story to mentioning the result.

Me either. I stayed up last night until it was pretty clear he was going to win.

Congrats To John Dennis

This is absolutely awesome.

His candidacy is really something, because he is literally a Ron Paul warrior. He doesn't hang out here, but back in the 2008 season he was doing all the things we were. He was waving signs, knocking on doors, giving money, making phone calls....all that stuff.

Rather than give up when we lost, like most of us did, he did exactly what Ron Paul told him to do. He ran for office.

He's running is a horrible district for Republicans, and I'm sure people remind him of that every single day. And yet he put himself out there, first against a former GOP nominee, and now against one of the most formidable political opponents alive today.

I would never be that courageous, but I'm glad he is.

I live in SF and was in the audience for the debate between Dennis and Walsh. Of course I'm going to agree with John on issues more than Dana, but what I was surprised at was how much better John was at public speaking. I think he's more comfortable on stage, has better delivery, and is clear and entertaining at the same time. Dana was an incoherent mess just repeating herself at times. I'm really glad Dennis won, because he's absolutely the better candidate to go against Pelosi.

It makes his race even more exciting. I didn't think he would actually win his primary. If he were to win, than it would be a huge victory for the liberty movement and one of the biggest upsets in electoral history. Call me a dreamer, but I'm all in for this guy.

As has been said by now, the late hour is likely mostly responsible for the relative lack of celebration.

I'm definitely celebrating NOW though. Wanted very much to do so last night, but with having to be up for work at 5am central, it was difficult to stay awake.
