Mark Sanford is so classy right to the bitter end:

"In all my dealings with Jack Hunter, I have found him to be most impressive, most professional and a committed conservative,” South Carolina Republican Rep. Mark Sanford told TheDCNF. “I think a lot of this has less to do with Jack Hunter than Rand Paul and 2016.”

I'm determined to make Josh change his mind on Rep. Sanford. We'll see how it goes or if he indeed cares anymore.

Nice, although I"m sure praising Hunter is politically positive for Sanford. I doubt people in his deeply southern conservative district really give a shit that Hunter wore a confederate flag mask. Regardless, I'm mostly a fan.

I didn't realize Hunter actually resigned until right now though. I think that's for the best. His baggage was many times worse than Hightower.

Probably his own decision after talking with folks. Shame really.

Joking about wearing KKK hoodies at malls and wondering why that would offend 'afro-americans' is a bigger deal in relation to mainstream acceptance than wearing a goofy luchador stars and bars mask.

Ceding ground on secession was a mistake, but Hunter was rightfully screwed on praising Lincoln's assassination. There's just not much you can do to defend it, other than saying it was hyperbolic rhetoric. And I enjoy that type of rhetoric myself, so don't mistake this as condemnation of any kind.

truth but hopefully Gunny can have his resume off to DC first thing tomorrow morning.

Gunny would probably be a good choice, because of his state being NC. Which was a very close battle in both 2008 and 2012. Having a tie to the state may be good, but not sure how well known Gunny is. Though, having one connection in state, is probably better than none.

Maybe Sanford should hire Jack for a staff position. That would make the neo-cons go crazy.

I noticed you in the other thread say Tom Woods should be brought aboard. I agree, Tom is as polished as anyone on nullification and secession, and doesn't need to wear a confederate flag mask or toast to John Wilkes Booth to prove it.

Also, I would love for Sanford to hire Hunter or maybe even Nancy Mace if she hops into the Senate race.

IIRC Tom Woods has said a lot of pro-anarchy stuff that would be considered baggage. I also think he might be on a different page than Rand when it comes to picking a choosing battles.
He is a great person in the movement but in national races I don't see him having much of an official role in campaigns - more of a grassroots organizer.

I'd love to see him get involved in campaigns for smaller offices too!

He's an anarchist. The media would paint him as being even more extreme than Jack.

I think Sanford is setting up for a 2020 run personally. I think he's betting that Hillary will win in 2016, and then he'll be able to run against her in 2020 after 12 years of Democratic Presidents, much like how Bill was originally elected as President in 1992. 8 years of Reagan, 4 years of Bush, then there was a change.

Sanford is just happy being a congressman. Doubt he'll go much further

Wearing a hoodie by a successful band from England is a far cry from a KKK hoodie! But why care about the truth when you have liberal smear campaigns to rely on?

To be fair, I used your own blog, as I always have, for that info. Would you like me to reproduce that blog, letter for letter, for you? I understand you may not want that out in the public (more than it already is available in numerous places), so please don't impugn my motives to the point where I am forced to do so against your wishes.

I'm a huge metal fan, and I didn't know that Napalm Death had a hoodie that depicted a character in KKK garb, so if a number of people who have likely been on the receiving end of racial animus or are aware of the past implications of that imagery are offended by it, nobody should be surprised. Metal bands intentionally use offensive imagery to make a point, so don't be surprised if that imagery is misunderstood from time to time. It's unfortunate, but it is a consideration one has to take when wearing things in public.

By the by, I'm genuinely curious to hear Commander. Worth digging around to listen?

LOL! Why would reposting a blog bother me? I'm not going to resign from Rand's campaign again. What you implied is still false!

It's not like I haven't been smeared by Rachel Maddow, Bill Maher and the Courier Journal in the last week, what's a message board forum going to hurt. LOL!
