[h=3]from the taking-a-stand dept[/h] There was a showing of the new documentary, Terms and Conditions May Apply late last week in Washington DC, and Rep. Dennis Kucinich stopped by and made some very pointed remarks while discussing the NSA's surveillance activities. The (well-timed) documentary, of course, looks at how companies and the government use and abuse everyone's digital data. Kucinich's remarks are well worth listening to, as he suggests that Congress should abolish the NSA, while also saying that Ed Snowden deserves a ticker-tape parade.

I'm still disappointed in Kucinich for attending the '12 DNC and endorsing Obama when he was already on his way out the door and was not required to kiss party ass.

Sure, Kucinich has taken a lot of stands with which I don't agree...but he's 100% correct in the OP story.

There are a handful of people in public political life in US who display some streaks now and then that Ron Paul does all the time.
Kucinich and Nader are two such people and I respect them for that even if may not share all their beliefs. Kucinich needs to be as bold as Nader in speaking out against/rejecting SWC neecons plant.. but this is still pretty good.

I like Kucinich and like that he's taken a strong stance on this issue. At the same time, I don't understand how he doesn't realize that his stance in favor of more gun control completely contadicts his support for the 4th amendment.
