He knows where it is and what time it is. What else should he know besides to show up?
Other than what I mentioned, that is about it.
This is coming from me, not any official campaign directions, but as I'm new to this process I'm going with dressing nice (suit for me) laying mostly low and not being overtly a Paul supporter (though I was a precinct captain and gave a speech and it's not a secret), not chanting End the Fed, Lol, and if anyone asks just being enthusiastic about beating Obama and restoring conservative values, reducing the debt and deficit, etc. I'll be excited to be a part of the process and to go on to the state level as a delegate.
Important note as well: It's $40 payable tomorrow if you are a delegate. I'm bringing cash. If you pay later, I think it is $50. You can become an alternative (which is a good idea if you don't get nominated as a delegate, I would think) and the cool thing is I'm pretty sure an alternate is free.
Bruno, just out of curiosity, which county are you in? Are non-delegates allowed to observe?
Polk County, correct. And I'm really not sure about observers or if you have to check in.
Anyway, good luck, Bruno. I wonder if anything has changed now that AJ Spiker is where he is. Do you have any thoughts about that?
Thanks! I can only see it as a huge positive for AJ to be where he is now. Regardless of how this all shakes out, we have a strong advocate for liberty at the head of the Iowa GOP.
And, for general interests: in my Des Moines are precinct, there were 2 Ron Paul supporters elected as delegates. Also 1 alternate. He won the three precincts that were at my caucus location. All great.
That's awesome! We won ours and I believe he won most of Des Moines. I can't remember the numbers, but Polk County was really close.
In our location, someone told me that the church down the street always tells people how to vote (found that interesting), and that is why there were so many for Santorum in 2nd.
