Release of JFK Files

The documents are being released without a way to properly organize and search them, so it will be a while before anything really interesting is discovered (assuming there is something to discover). What I think we are presently learning are the methods used by the CIA to conduct its business, which isn’t necessarily aligned with the interests of the USA.
The Mary Ferrell Foundation site is the foremost place to gather information about the assassination.

Most of the good information on the JFK assassination will be found on sites that lean left.

A good place to start is 22november1963.org.uk

It is a comprehensive look at the assassination. It is from a conspiracists point of view, but does a pretty good job being even-handed. When you finish a subject, it links to the next subject.

I recommend this video (also from a conspiracist’s point of view):

It starts by talking about what motivates men, and then moves into the assassination, with a gimmick of a time-traveling detective that isn’t too distracting. This video is the first time I heard that the Presidential limo was washed out immediately after the assassination, and then sent to Chicago to be repaired. It was the first time I heard about the Secret Service detail getting drunk until 5:00 in the morning the day of. The video isn’t perfect, but it gives the viewer things to research.

Finally, I recommend doing a search for “education forum Oswald leaving the TSBD”. It’s a long forum thread that started back in 2013 that has people going back and forth about some film footage you may have heard of recently, when Rep. Luna asked Jefferson Morley about a “secret film”. I advise to pay attention to anything written by a Sean Murphy in that thread. Very interesting. Also, there are links (some of them broken, unfortunately) to a lot of other resources, like the Secret Service walkthrough of the building the day after, showing the route Oswald was supposed to have taken after the shooting.
