Reform Party Of Ohio Holds State Convention In Ashland
originally posted on: 5/25/2008 6:35:32 PM

This past weekend, the Reform Party's State Convention was held at the Ashland Public Library.

A regular business meeting was held in the lower level of the library, followed by a luncheon and several guest speakers.

State chairwoman Virginia Brooks says she believes the country is in chaos and has been going down the tubes for a long time, citing NAFTA as the root of much of the country's problems.

The Reform Party of Ohio's goal is to return the country to the constitutional republic it was formed on and to re-establish trust in government by electing ethical officials who are dedicated to fiscal responsibility and political accountability.

The party is endorsing Ron Paul for United States President.

Man....I'm still amazed Ron Paul didn't seek to run a third party campaign. It would have presented a unique opportunity where the could have easily garnered the Libertarian nomination combined with endorsements (perhaps) from the Constitution and Reform parties (which in some states have a presence).

Would have been a far, far more viable third party campaign then Bob Barr, and although I'm sure that the Ron Paul revolution will be more powerful, and impact more change because Ron Paul decided to wait things out, I'm still worried that it might be too late with the candidates coming up for election.
