Paul, cannot claim ignorance for this flip-flop. One of the senators that introduced the bill Bob Goodlatte (R-Va) submitted a committee report citing President Barack Obama failure to enforce federal marijuana laws as an example of his federal overreach

I guess this is one of those things where we're supposed to hope that Rand is lying. One of the main reasons I supported his father and him is that I hoped he would not enforce authoritarian laws. If the day ever comes that Rand is president and federal agents are enforcing federal marijuana laws, I will be a Rand opponent. Here's hoping that day never comes.
How do you grow marajauna?
I don't need to hear about how Rand Paul respects local government as per your link. I already knew that. And I disagree that this is a troll blog post. It brings up the concept of enforcing federal laws like the Feds did after California legalized medical marijuana yet the feds raided many dispensaries in California. I don't take lives being ruined lightly in these raids. It's very serious and people have been fucked over by it. The people involved are not just statistics. The fed raids on legal grows and dispensaries in California were early in the Obama administration. When Holder announced that they would stop it, it was within the current admin's 2nd term. I'm not interested in supporting yet another president that will fuck people over a plant like Obama has. It is NOT trolling to question whether a Rand admin will keep enforcing federal laws. This was a troll blog post. This had nothing to do with marijuana at all. The whole issue was about Obamacare.
He has already weighed in on the issue of marijuana laws on the state and local level. For example http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/rand-paul-let-d.c.-legalize-marijuana/article/2555685

If you've spent any time studying congress and marijuana, then you would know that rescheduling or legalizing just isn't a realistic proposal. That's what Rand is pandering to. Hopefully anyways. There is no support for it in congress. We need a president that refuses to enforce federal laws. That's why criticism is justified. You're right.
But the Constitutional solution is to repeal that damned law. It's not like alcohol prohibition was--this isn't an amendment. Congress could repeal it in a day and the president could sign off on it by nightfall.
And I don't know that I've ever heard him say one way or the other, but I find it hard to imagine Ron Paul's son vetoing the bill that repeals marijuana prohibition.
