Did anyone notice the music played as Rand came on the stage at CPAC?

When I watched it live (on a television, not the internet stream)
I thought it might've been the song Frankenstein by Edgar Winters (1973),

but now that I've tried to check it, it seems every clip of the speech I find has the audio removed from that part - even C-SPAN's. Some problem with getting permission to use it, maybe?

update: well how 'bout that :D

That is the correct song according to an article (NYT?) I read earlier today.

CPAC's audio wasn't consistent. They had it muted while some speakers walked in/out. I doubt they have rights to broadcast any of the music, so if some got through it was probably a mistake.

Good thread, I left a little promo message in the video's comment section. Every little bit helps in sideshow territories I guess.

Actually not a bad piece.
Best Applause Line: “It’s time for a new president.” This brought most of the crowd to its feet, including a boisterous section up near the front of the stage that started waving its red “Stand With Rand” signs and shouting “President Paul! President Paul!” The spontaneous eruption brought a big grin to the senator’s face.

Crickets: None, really. One of the best receptions at CPAC so far.

Entrance Song: “Frankenstein” by The Edgar Winter Group :toady:

Red Meat: His repeated references to the American military intervention in Libya as “Hillary’s war.” He used the phrase three times and said Mrs. Clinton’s “dereliction of duty” in Benghazi should forever preclude her from office.

Toughest Question:

The message I've seen is that no republican knows how to take on Hillary despite Paul and Cruz lambasting the queen in recent times at CPAC. I can't stand any mention of Bush in any conversation about this cause he's got none.
