Following today’s U.S. Supreme Court ruling on Obamacare, Sen. Rand Paul offered the following statement:

“Just because a couple people on the Supreme Court declare something to be ‘constitutional’ does not make it so. The whole thing remains unconstitutional. While the court may have erroneously come to the conclusion that the law is allowable, it certainly does nothing to make this mandate or government takeover of our health care right,” Sen. Paul said.

“Obamacare is wrong for Americans. It will destroy our health care system. This now means we fight every hour, every day until November to elect a new President and a new Senate to repeal Obamacare,” he continued.

Sorry Rand. I want to vote for you for President in 2016 so I will NEVER vote for Romney. :p

Rand's statement has nothing to do with Mitt Romney, he never mentioned him once. No need to put words in his mouth here.

I think people forget that Rand Paul is doctor too. He knows the health care system. I appreciate he's calling out the SCOTUS too!

Just because a couple people on the Supreme Court declare something to be ‘constitutional’ does not make it so.

Rand Paul is a WONDERFUL SENATOR! His statement gives me hope on this sad day. This November, we MUST defeat President Obama, take the senate for Obamacare repealers, and keep the house for Obamacare repeal supporters.

Yeah. Cause we all know that by "electing a new president in November" he was talking about someone other than the guy he endorsed.

And we must have more people conservatives like John Roberts who oppose Obamacare.....oh wait a minute. Roberts upheld Obamacare.

Okay, we must have a president like Mitt Romney who's committed to opposing Obamacare....oh wait a minute. Mitt Romney said he supported Obamacare because it was his plan before he realized he needed to be against it.

And we must have....

If anything, this whole thing with Roberts destroys the weak Republican argument that "we need to support the Republican nominee so we can get some conservative justices up there". What a joke.

Fighting Words. Rand better step into this power vacuum. This type of leadership can carry him to the presidency. When opportunity presents itself like this, you better grab it. Rand needs to be face of anti-government.

Let's see. Republican appointee John Roberts wrote the majority opinion. http://nbcpolitics.msnbc.msn.com/_n...22-supreme-court-upholds-health-care-law?lite So how does getting republicans elected help the cause of liberty again? Yeah I know I know, stealth strategy and all. But this is geared at the "We need to worry about the judicial appointees" crowd.

To be fair, remember that there are still four justices: Alito (also a Bush appointee), Scalia (a Reagan appointee), Thomas (a Bush Sr. appointee), and Kennedy (a Reagan appointee) all dissented from the ruling. Just think what would happen if there were 2 more Alitos, Scalias, Thomases, or Kennedies on the court today...

Yeah, I agree.

I don't know what to wish for anymore. Both options stink.

I suppose it just means we need to keep our noses to the grindstone and work even harder to get our guys in position in the GOP leadership and our candidates elected. It's not a quick fix, but just like the tortoise, it is a strategy that will win in the end.

Multiple Choice Question: Who do you think would be more likely to repeal Obamacare?
a)Barack Obama
b) Mitt Romney

I'll be supporting Mitt Romney this November even though I'm not completely confident in him. He is better than four more years of President Obama. I know some will disagree, but I don't want President Obama for another four years. Some say that we can wait until 2016...by 2016, we may not have elections anymore. President Obama may declare dictatorship or monarchy by that time.

Neither. A vote for Romney ruins Rand's chance to run in 2016. Think ahead here.
