Rand's first blow to Trump lands hard

Eisenhower did. It just takes the will to do so.

Eisenhower rounded up 30 million people?

Trump has outlined how he would (at least try to) do so. It doesn't sound very complicated. Again, it is more a matter of political will from both the President and Congress than anything else. To say it is impossible is to give up before trying and only guarantees failure. People -- voters -- are sick of failure. Tarriffs are a constitutional tax and less intrusive of liberty than an income tax. Ron Paul spoke to this many times. There's no reason Rand can't do so as well.

Perhaps I should have gone on that tangent about TPTB's goal of (re)uniting the US and Mexico, to understand why Trump's rhetoric is hogwash. Oh well. Neither is going to happen, President Trump or not. Here's a hint: turn the infamous pyramid upside down. If you honestly believe Trump is an outsider then fine. I don't, therefore I'm certain Trump is full of it. ymmv

You said "millions." Not "30 million." And yes, he did. It was called Operation Wetback. Look it up.

How do you figure it's a reunion? Mexico held part of what is now the US southwest for a few decades, but not all of the States.

Neither is going to happen, President Trump or not.

It won't happen without the political will to do so. If you don't have the will, you are helping guarantee it won't happen.

OPERATION WETBACK.
Those apprehended were often deported without opportunity to recover their property in the US or contact family and were stranded without food or employment when they entered Mexico.[48] Deported Mexicans faced extreme conditions and were sometimes left in the desert; 88 deported workers died in 112 degree heat in July 1955.[49] Another issue was repeat border crossings by those who had been previously deported; from 1960-1961, repeaters accounted for 20% of the total deportees.[50] Certain U.S. Border Patrol agents practiced shaving heads to mark repeat offenders who would attempt to reenter the United States. There were also reports of beating and jailing illegal immigrants before deporting them.[51] While most complaints concerning deportation were undocumented, there were over 11,000 formal complaints from documented bracero workers from 1954 -1964.[52] Ultimately, with the lack of evidence and documentation concerning the treatment of laborers in Operation Wetback, the level of mistreatment remains unclear and unknown.

Sounds great. Lets kill hundreds if not thousands of them damned taco eaters.
