If I remember correctly, Hannity said he'd be doing a show from Ames that day and that Rand should swing by and buy him a fried twinkie, lol. Either way, nice plug for RP 2012 after Sean was talking about how Rand is one of the best new leaders in the Congress.

Oh and Savage has been really talking up Ron tonight on his show.

Yep but Savage charges for his podcast. Basically, he was jocking Ron and his piece on the phony spending cuts. It's linked at his website in text only.

I justed checked the podcast and it was a repeat of his interview with Rand on the 7/29 show. As far as what he said about Ron Paul, I don't think it was a dis. He actually said he saluted Ron Paul for voting no on the debt ceiling but said he couldn't support him for president.

Anyway, Rand's grasp of policy and rules is really amazing. I can't think of too many political strategist, let alone people in government, who have that kind of grasp on things.

I like Orinn Hatch's comments about Rand, "one of the best that we've had here in a long time", etc. That's a pretty nice compliment for a guy that has only been in office for 6 months (and never held any office before that). He seems to think very highly of Rand.

yeah, he has definitely been trying to associate himself with the tea party a lot lately. he really fears Chaffetz is going to put him into retirement.
