Maybe if Rand would quit trying to pander there wouldn't be any click-bait to worry about, hmmm?
You know, if I'm an ISIS terrorist from France or Belgium, I wouldn't speak Arabic on the phone. Nor would speak Arabic if I was from Pakistan, Indonesia or Somalia.
So not only is this pander-language, it's not even very smart, which is what's most disappointing.

So let's see. We're spending billions spying on everybody, Rand says we should spy on fewer people, and that's bad. Got it.
That said, I wish he would take the next logical step and point out the "failures" of the government with the information they already have. For example:
1993 WTC bombing. FBI informant builds the bomb. He asks if he could use harmless powder. He's told no, use real explosives. After the bombing the FBI starts to prosecute him. He releases a recording to the media proving he was working for the FBI. He's given some hush money and a plane ticket to Egypt and the story drops down the memory hole. I've seen so many numbskulls over the years excuse this as a "sting operation gone bad." Okay. So why didn't anyone get brought up on charges of negligent homicide?
9/11. Too many examples to cite. One is that Colleen Rowley has the "11th hijacker" in custody. She seeks permission to check out his laptop. Justice department LAWYERS, not a FISA judge, block her request! I have see so many numbskulls over the years try to brush this off as "Those lawyers were just following current law." Bollocks! The job of a lawyer is to advocate. The job of the judge is to adjudicate. The lawyers should have sent the request on to the FISA court and let a judge decide whether or not to issue a warrant.
9/11 again. Michael Springman has spoken out about the Jeddhah Saudi Arabia consulate. Prior to 9/11 he noticed young men coming through and getting visas to go to the U.S. that didn't pass the smell test. He spoke out about it, tried to stop it and got fired. He was told the men he was trying to stop were connected to the CIA. Several of the hijackers ultimately came through that consulate. Numbskulls try to brush this off by saying "Well Springman wasn't there when those particular men went through." So what moron? He saw the pattern. He reported on the pattern. And the men that went through that were the terrorists (patsies) fit the pattern.
Underwear bomber. HIS FATHER CALLED THE U.S. EMBASSY AND TOLD THEM "MY SON IS A TERRORIST" AND HE WAS STILL LET ON THE PLANE WITHOUT A PASSPORT! I have yet to see even a numbskull try to defend this one.
The second shoe bomber. The FBI admitted he was a double agent. No defense from the numbskulls on that one either.
The Boston Marathon bombers. Russia told us ahead of time that the older brother was meeting with Chechen terrorists on his trips back and forth to Russia. And the younger brother was being mentored by a former GITMO interrogator. Plus there was the shady business run by their uncle which was connected to a former CIA agent. All of that straight down the memory hole. Numbskulls just say "Coincidence. Everything is a coincidence." Well coincidence this. If Russia says someone has met with Chechen terrorists maybe we shouldn't let him back in the country since he wasn't even a U.S. citizen? You're not a citizen, you go meet with shady people, we don't let you back in. It's that simple.

Time after time we have had solid information about people we should be monitoring based on actual actionable intelligence. Why aren't those people being monitored? Someone's head in the FBI should have rolled after the 1993 WTC bombing. That nothing happened to anyone in the FBI tells you all you need to know about the so called global war on terrorism.

Yep. It's just common sense that the people who are attacking us are 20 something Arab men. It's illogical to be conducting surveillance on 80 year old Grandma's. This is just common sense. It's political correctness that's causing us to be both less safe and less free. I guess the Rand haters here must be big fans of political correctness.

Rand better be careful. I'm watching hearings now on c-span where UK is trying to ban Donald Trump from entering again because of his remark to stop muslims from entering the country until we figure out what is going on. Rand's comment might get him banned from the U.K. lol.
