Rand Paul says "We WILL be in St. Paul"

Bobby Seale? He is the cofounder of the black panthers, so he is/was pretty well known. He also ended up as one of the "Chicago 8" IIRC... but was eventually removed from court before the trial was over due to his outbursts.

Nah this guy was white. He was an activist.. hmm:(

I will be there also and will encourage on the meetup's to all my RP supporters from my city to march there in a convoy...

I'll be there - whether I'm inside or out. I'll be well-dressed and conducting myself in a manner deserving of respect, articulating the principles of genuine conservatism. I'll be gently working to help others understand what this movement is all about - in a non-threatening manner.

In short, I'll be trying to make it HARDER for them to marginalize me, not EASIER.

For anyone contemplating civil disobedience, I'm reminded of what Ron Paul taught me:

1. It must always be PEACEFUL.
2. You must be prepared to live with the consequences.

A military friend of mine said there's no way any para military teams will keep out Ron Paul people out short of Blackwater.

How to Sell Liberty... in the sig. :)
Should help if you haven't already seen it.

Honestly, I would love to literally crash the convention. I don't mean "have more people". I mean having 10,000 Ron Paul republicans literally walk over the barricades, through the doors, and into the convention........stopping everything dead in its tracks. For better or worse, it would make public our cause and the dissent in the republican party.

Everyone here is assuming that you will be able to even get within a 1/2 mile of the convention.

I'm in Denver and we are hosting the DNC. There is already a lot of talk about where to locate protesters and others. I don't even foresee being able to get within viewing distance of the convention center. From what I have gathered, most of downtown will be blocked off..... They are even relocating the homeless people so that they don't give a bad image to the State.

I plan on being in St. PAUL too... but I'm keeping my expectations in check....

What if we just held it down outside the site of the convention, a week before, propping up tents, barbecue, and have plenty of food and water ect. and refusing to leave? we must have plenty of cameras rolling to show the world what they will do to any political dissent.

Then we will LOSE!

You can count on it. I Remember when Bush Sr. Had his convention here in Houston. They beat the living hell out of people who showed up to "protest."

That was along time ago. I know they have worse in mind for anyone who would dare show up and "protest".......so please be mentally prepared for what you will be walking into.

I would not advise taking children.

I would also be willing to jailed or tazed IF I THOUGHT THAT WOULD ADVANCE THE CAUSE OF LIBERTY.

It won't.

But we had better be able to bring our children to the convention.

If we are doing something that even gives them an excuse to do violence to our children, THEN WE ARE NOT DOING THE RIGHT THINGS!

By the way, the most effective non-violent protests for the civil rights movement in the early sixties involved children.

In fact, that was probably what broke the back of the armed resistance to civil rights in the South.

Policemen that were happily jailing and whacking adults over the heads with billy clubs, found themselves powerless when they were confronted with large numbers of children.

In fact, it was the use of fire hoses to disperse the children in those demonstrations (which was thought to be a more "humane" tactic) which ultimately turned this nation toward support for the civil rights bill.

They wouldn't dare do anything like that in St Paul.
It would make us martyrs overnight and accelerate our cause by years!

Unless, of course, they could blame it on some hammerheaded "Ron Paul" provocateurs.

As militant as i am, i would not use my daughter to further any political cause. After all, the only reason I'm doing all this so my kids don't have to.

LOL. I must have missed that, when I watched the classes. Time to go watch again. :)

That just made it into my video aswell. Thanks!!

I'm glad to share, blew me away the first time, starts slow, killer utube.

I don't blame you but...

Nobody loves their daughter any more than I love mine.

But we are doing this so that they WON'T have to resort to violence to regain their freedom.

This is not a shooting war, and we need to keep it that way as long as possible.

People who are chomping at the bit to "radicalize" this movement are dangerous idiots.

(No offense to all you "dangerous idiots" out there. ;))

With the numbers and support we have now in the general population, They could squash us like bugs and nobody would even blink; IF we tried to start something violent.

Lets play to our strengths, reason and rationality. We really are the voice of "We the People", lets act like it.

Let them be the jerks, let them be the ones that act like Nazi's, let them be the ones that everyone despises at the end of the convention.
