At yesterday's rally in Louisville, KY, Rand made it clear that Dr. Paul will have a presence in St. Paul whether it's inside the convention or outside. He said to keep watching ronpaul2008.com for more details.

Thats right! He called for 10,000 people. He said we won't need to go to the press, the press will come to us!
I'm going for sure

Yeah, me too. I'm going to be in St. Paul, I'm going to get my room very shortly. This will be exciting, we'll have to setup meet-up groups for when we get their.

I was there and heard it!

Above all else, go to the Republican National Convention!

Honestly, I would love to literally crash the convention. I don't mean "have more people". I mean having 10,000 Ron Paul republicans literally walk over the barricades, through the doors, and into the convention........stopping everything dead in its tracks. For better or worse, it would make public our cause and the dissent in the republican party.

Nice....not happening...you'd have to be like armed and willing to die by the swat team if you tried anything like that. But I'm sure you have guns that will shoot through swat bullet vest.

They ordered more tasers... several months ago. :|
btw, there is this guy who was outspoken... back in the 60's i think.
he was talking to the press, pretty powerful speaker.. think it had to do with the democratic convention in chicago..?

anyone know the guy? there's clips of him on the net, white guy, slightly curly hair.. passionate speaker? thanks.

It might have been Abby Hoffman, Jerry Rubin or Ed Sanders (Saunders).

;s nah isn't any of them. The clip has been used a fair bit. This one guy addressing the press, with microphones around.. he was practically yelling into them. Don't think he was too well known, this kind of made it for him. He was speaking out against injustices, kind of telling the people to rise up. The name bobby rings a bell.

This is what I have been stressing ever since the McCain was named the 'Presumptive Nominee' at that point I knew the the GOP was locking us out. I knew in my heart that I need to be at the convention. I know it is my civic duty to stand up for our country, the rights of ALL the citizens.

I know that I could be jailed, tased, and maybe worse. I am willing to do that for my country. I for one rather die for my country, then live in one that I can't live freely in.

Great!

Great, I'll bring the kids!;)

Seriously

Whatever is happening inside the convention center, if we have enough people outside, they will not be able to ignore us.

Actually, I would not recommend anything violent, IN or OUT of the convention center. In fact, anything violent will be used against us.

In fact, even if we are completely non-violent, I would expect THEM to provoke/stage something violent that they can blame on us.

Something like the Sean Hannity snowball incident on steroids.

Our future political base is very law and order and associates violent political activity with 1960's socialism, NOT constitutional free speech.

Let's just get the numbers there.

Thousands of articulate, enthusiastic people armed with knowledge, pamphlets, DVD's, signs, and love for the constitution!:)

You can count on it. I Remember when Bush Sr. Had his convention here in Houston. They beat the living hell out of people who showed up to "protest."

That was along time ago. I know they have worse in mind for anyone who would dare show up and "protest".......so please be mentally prepared for what you will be walking into.

I would not advise taking children.

Bobby Seale? He is the cofounder of the black panthers, so he is/was pretty well known. He also ended up as one of the "Chicago 8" IIRC... but was eventually removed from court before the trial was over due to his outbursts.
