I fully support Rand's decision. FOX Business should have kept in place the same guidelines they used in their first debate. Changing the prerequisites just makes it look like they are rigging so their favorites get in and those they dislike get out. For instance, how in the hell could Bush be in the big kid debate?

Rand is not the only boycotting the debate. I certainly won't watch it. I see nothing worse than watching those candidates who have identical opinions on everything, other than immigration bullchit for three hours.

I was against this move until I read this. Very good point, it's doubtful Jeb, Carly (again), or Kasich would participate in an undercard debate.

Jeb, Carly (again), and Kasich (again) may very well have to make that call - let's see if they get asked that question on the campaign trail now.

I don't mind this, but why say it now when it looks like he very well could get in, even based on national polling? The last three national polls since the debate have Bush at 3.3% and Rand at 3.0%. Why let Politico make up their stories again about Rand likely missing the main debate, when he is only 0.3% behind?

This is a good time to air a commercial focused on media darlings and expose how media lies and manipulates poll results. People will eat up a facts based commercial because they all realize they are getting fed bs. Independants would love it because they distrust media the most.

LIKE A BOSS. Rand just preemptively defused the impact of debate criteria being engineered to stick him at the kiddie table, by basically saying he doesn't need cable TV time that much. Rand has already made it to the prime debate across most of the pre-primary months, so this stance may neutralize a late attempt to "finish him off." Notice how most of the shows failed to include to note his 6th place showing in the CNN poll, since he was in a higher position than Jeb.

Who keeps changing the inclusion criteria with each debate, anyway, as if to continually assert "MSM knows best" about who we need to see in prime time? If Pataki, Santorum, etc had taken the same stance and shown some spine against the media, they might have risen a bit in the polls.

Fox Business. I could hardly get through the last debate with all the war mongers. The most sickening bunch of blowhards I've seen in my life. No fly zone, shoot down Russian planes over someone else's country who invited them. Start World War III !!! Rand is the only reason I have not torn up my republican voter registration card.

I approve of this statement.

His argumentation is sound. The fact Jeb may be in the same boat helps with convincing some establishment folks perhaps.
Overall, this is the kind of language some people were demanding months ago. I personally don't think it's too little too late. It may be timed perfectly. We'll see. I trust he's a good strategist.

I can tell you one thing for sure though, if he is not on the debate, I will have no interest in watching and will probably not be voting Republican. If the GOP wishes to expand the party more, there is no greater candidate for that than Rand Paul. Hopefully, he is allowed in. Otherwise, I am sad to say that I think it is over folks. It's because they are scared they will try to black him out from the debates. Rand should debate Bernie on the night of the debate. He needs to do something big like that at this point of the campaign. He is one hundred times a greater threat to the establishment than his father was running for President. They learned from the last time around. Only this time, Rand has a better chance to win.

We just need to be louder and more passionate then the next guy's supporters and vote harder(I know it sounds dumb but people make fun of it because it works) it's much easier for them to convince us to stay home and not vote which is basically the liberty movement not voting hard enough. Rand has earned lots of credibility especially recently from millennials and people that consume non echo chamber media. All of the alternate media sources regardless of partisanship were saying how Rand was the only sane one on the stage. That's why I think even Bernie Sanders is only now bringing up audit the FED talking points. How bad do you think Rand made the rest of them look nationally?

A democratic republic only works with an informed and responsible citizenry.

Look at our public schools. Look at the media who informs them. Look at the entertainment industry which distracts them.

Look at how Ron Paul supporters have gone over to Trump!

It is no longer us fighting to win the hearts of the citizenry. It is us fighting the machine which has mastered the status quo.

If Rand wishes to be a greater part of it, he now needs to think BIG. We can't expect to awaken a people blinded by the media and lulled asleep by the corporate interests, especially Hollywood. We can't expect any handouts or mercy from the corporate mainstream media. Rand needs to do something BIG, and soon.
