I guess I'm new to the movement since I only stumped for Ron in 2007 and my family did in 1987-88. But, it takes being on a message board to be a "real" supporter.

I've been involved with RP since his run for Congress in 1996.... you know, the one where he ran ads saying he was going to "run the drugs out of Texas"? I'm well aware of what Beck said in the past, but I also know what he's been saying now. What he is saying now is in complete agreement with Rand's platform, and I don't think Beck has any incentive whatsoever to try to "torpedo" Rand's campaign like he "torpedoed" Medina by asking her whether she thinks JFK was killed by the federal government....

Rand's target audience are those who listen and watch Beck. That's Rand's voting demographic. You can get in a huff over it, but Rand will benefit from the interview, and he won't shoot himself in the face the way Medina did on Beck's radio program.

It gives him amunition for ads as well---he can tout that "Fox News called Dr Rand Paul __________", list other descriptions, and throw out a few more endorsements, followed by a friendly little fireside chat from Rand and the sales pitch.

I think it's a slam dunk. Do it, as often as possible.
