Oct. 20th deadline 200k Goal
3/4 of the way there at just over 150k

"I'm going to be point blank.

The Washington Machine, the national media, and fat-cat lobbyists want nothing more than to drown out my message of liberty and limited government.

And without your immediate support, that'll become a reality.

That's why my campaign has launched a bold and aggressive TV and Radio Ad Blitz in Iowa during and after the next Republican presidential debate.

I'm confident this TV and Radio Ad Blitz is just what we need to build on my first place showing in the three biggest straw polls of the primary season.

So my campaign needs an emergency influx of funds.

But the deadline is less than 48 hours away and I need your immediate support.

Can I count on you to chip in right now?

With my decisive victory at one of the biggest straw polls in New Hampshire, the Establishment is doubling-down in their efforts to stamp out my campaign and silence my message.

After all, I'm not their handpicked candidate.

My campaign is based on grassroots muscle that's built to last for the long haul.

Your support will give my campaign the vital resources to continue the momentum and flood the airwaves in the key state of Iowa.

With your help, I plan to break through their wall of silence and get my message directly to voters.

So please let me know you're still with me in this fight by chipping in a contribution today.

My campaign and I are really counting on your support..."

I donated this morning and posted it over at the CNN thread with Rand getting 5%. Someone else donated there and another person said they would match me if someone would match them.

So glad I unsubscribed. The Rand email spam gets out of control.

I've donated several times this year to Rand and have yet to receive an email from the campaign. I did get mail in the mail earlier this year.

I'm sure everyone is getting spammed or rather bombarded with "their " candidates emails for money. I don't know how but I got an email from Ben "I fall asleep" Carson the other day begging for money.

How the hell did they raise the first 150k so fast? The ticker hasn't moved too much since I first looked at 5 pm. I can't believe this was all raised today.

And why o why won't Vincent Harris put the ticker on the front page? What are the negatives? We are all well aware of the positives. I just don't get it.

i think there is something to be said with not immediately blasting people with a "give me money" ticker

The ticker didn't start today, I saw it a couple days ago I think

Who is the user that is always posting rate stats for how many donors and how much we've raised since X point in time? Would like to see how this 165k was raised.

CPUd.

The ticker has been up for days; maybe a week. I've been getting multiple emails daily.

I think the FB campaign started on Saturday. That's when I gave $50. It was around $65-75k at that point...

(Rank_donors - Rank_population)
Amounts are not reflected here:

Assume the number of donors is a fixed percentage of the state's population. Then, if you ranked the states by number of donors from that state, it would be exactly the same as ranking the states per population. The plots above reflect states that do not fit this pattern. So if a state's rank by population is 10, but the donors per state rank is 9, it would be a +1 in the plots above.

For state populations, I used the July 2014 estimates here:
