Rally for the Republic DVD ... gone forever?

/me sighs

I missed my opportunity to buy the Rally for the Republic DVD from the campaign back in 2008 and I've been kicking myself ever since:

Recently, I've been trying to acquire a copy to go with my to-be-framed commemorative tickets. I first contacted the CFL a few times to see if it was still available or any way I could get a copy and unfortunately, have had no luck (not surprising, they've got 2012 on their minds). The few download spots that I've found here on the forums and elsewhere have long since vanished or are only of Ron's speech. I've avoided actually posting here until I felt like I had exhausted all other avenues.

So, I'm hoping with all my heart that SOMEONE here can help. I will gladly pay for a copy ... disc ... postage ... time ... whatever. I'd obviously love the original disc, but at this point, I'd happily settle for a download link or a simple copy. If all I can find is a download or copy, a high-res photo of the label so I can make my own would be a bonus, but I realize that is probably pushing my luck.

Many, many thanks in advance for any assistance that anyone can provide.

Edit: I do know that a lot of it is on YouTube (links in this old thread and on Ron's site), but I was hoping for more, and without the CSPAN overlay.

Edit: Wish I could change the subject. Guess I'll repost with a proper subject in a few weeks or so.

Sorry for bumping my own thread, but I've still had no luck getting a copy of the Rally for the Republic DVD. The one for download I've found in a few places is only Ron's speech from the event. With the excitement of this year's primary, I'm finding myself even more upset that I never bought my copy :(

Thanks guys/gals. There's one that looks like it may be it, but I've already been trying to download that... there's never been any seeders. And I can't find any peers with the magnet link. All the others files I see are just Ron's speech. Tried searching on Usenet with no luck either.

I've already contacted CFL ZanZibar, and they said they weren't able to help. I admit that I found it a little hard to believe and might try again later, but I'd rather not bug them.

I just went back up to school, but have the C-Span DVD at home and could get it brought up next weekend. I presume if it's open source I could torrent them or what not.

We really should get this thing into torrent form. I don't have it....but if I were to get a copy somehow I would seed it.

It was Matt Holdridge, Director of Marketing, CFL. We exchanged a few emails and in one he said:

"We had to pull the Rally for the Republic DVD because of Congressman Paul's run for president."

I asked if there was anywhere I could get a copy of it and he replied with:

"I'm not really sure to be honest. Maybe check ebay. Sorry I'm not much help."

So my assumption is that they've got none left and they aren't producing any more.

Thanks JEnright. I'm actually looking for the one that was sold in the CFL store though. My understanding is that they are two different things (though they share some footage).

I read that as "when Ron isn't running for President any more, the CFL is allowed to sell them"

Not sure why that would be the case. They're still selling other Ron Paul related stuff in the store.

Still no luck in finding it anywhere else yet :(

The "For Liberty" release on iTunes reminded me that I hadn't heard anything more on this thread. Still searching. Found someone on Flickr that has it, but emails and posts to them have gone unanswered. The torrent for the video that I have found has not yet had any seeders either.

I'm planning on re-contacting the Campaign for Liberty again soon, but thought I'd bump this just in case anyone new might stumble upon it and have a copy.
