R U dedicated to saving America? Or do you just run your mouth?

Hey, hey Rambo=) Hmmm, I saw you posted this on myspace but never responded. This comment is not directed at you in particular...or anyone else for that matter. It's just me (a 50% supporter in some peoples eyes)giving my opinion.

I'll just say....I cannot go to 2 marches. If that makes me less of a supporter in someone's eyes; so be it. I know what I am and I know what I do for the cause. I'm pretty satisfied with what I've done and I'm always looking for more to do. Now...with that said...there are alot of ppl who simply cannot go because of money issues. I sympathize with that because I'm in the same boat. Also...alot of people have children in school. No, it's not possible for some of these children to miss a couple of days...it's just not. Trust me...a march in DC is not an excused absence. I'm not going to tell my child to go to school and lie about being sick or a "family emergency" for a march. I will not do it. That would make me a shitass parent. Also...there are some of us who are using the last bit of money we have to travel to Texas to be there canvassing and be at polling places on the 4th. Hmmmm, the granny march OR securung more votes for Ron Paul? I'll choose the latter. Guess that makes me a 50% RP supporter, huh? Ah, well.

Sometimes this forum is like going to church on Sunday. You come here expecting to feel uplifted and be around supportive people...but instead you leave feeling like an inadequate heathen. I love it. </sarcasm>

That's true and I don't know if people without kids understand that. (I don't have kids, I am a kid.)

Here in Washington state a school can take you to court (RCW 28A.225) if you have ONE unexcused absence, as seen by the school. If the child misses more than 5 days the school is required to take you to court.

As a potential student myself, am I willing to go to court? Yes. I'm 18. I can fight it. But when parents with children have to, it's scary as hell because the state could find a legal reason to take those kids.

I just can't imagine anyone calling this an excuse. I'm to the point of just saying "fuck it" until all this arguing is over, then picking up after April 15th. :(

Oh yeah....I've been fined before for my child missing school and the school deemed it, "unexcused." Personally...my kid has missed 6 days of school since they went back after christmas...his school work suffered because of it. AND now they're all in my ass because he's missing school again because he's sick. The situations are different for everyone....so to be looked down on and be called less of a supporter because you don't "make enough sacrifices"...well, that's bullshit.

You're thinking is probably right. Let the March 15th ppl go to DC and let them be. Pick up where you left off after the 15th. But, I guarantee there will be an air of superiority coming from some of these people once they get back. So there...that will be another reason for the infighting and division among the ranks to continue. This is a sad, sad situation. *shakes head*

Yeah...I've got a lot of shit going on in my life too. Don't act like your the only one who's got responsibilities. You don't know me....You don't know that my situation might be worse than yours!!!!:mad:

Like I said. THERE ARE ALWAYS EXCUSES!!!

We are in a fight to save our county. Just the other day our government basically merged our military with Canadas. So in the event of a "domestic" emergency Canada can come down here and subject us, citizens of the United States, to martial law!!!!!!

THAT'S BULL SHIT! WAKE UP!!! WHAT DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND ABOUT WHAT IS GOING ON HERE! STOP MAKING EXCUSES ABOUT WHY YOU CAN'T DO THINGS FOR THIS MOVEMENT!!!

Here's some perspective that you need to understand: There's a big difference between now and the time of the American Revolution. Back then, there was a violent revolution - an armed conflict. It was not only life and death, but a huge portion of the population recognized it as such. The time for half-measures was over the moment the Declaration was sent to the king. Ironically, it's actually a lot harder to live for a cause than it is to die for a cause, because when you're living for one, you need to figure out a way to eat and put a roof over your head at the same time (which is even more important if other people depend on you).

Today, this is a long-term movement, and we have no idea how long it will take to restore the republic. This is also a matter of life and death, but not yet. We have to pace ourselves. People simply can't afford to quit their day jobs or risk their education for a single event in a movement that might take, say, ten years or more. People can't afford to work SO hard at this that they neglect to pay the bills and end up on the streets within a year. People cannot afford to work SO hard at this that they literally go insane. If we "burn ourselves out" by treating a marathon like a sprint, we'll die out and the "problem" of the Ron Paul Revolution will "solve itself." We have the power to fix this, but we don't have the power to fix it overnight.

In other words, we need to keep our movement sustainable. We need to make sure we don't kill ourselves in this effort before the real fight even begins (which will happen when either the rest of America wakes up or when the political process becomes closed to us) ...so do not belittle others for only giving as much as they can at this time. If you can afford to give more time than others, great! Just don't turn other people off by demanding "all or nothing" participation levels. Every little bit helps, and only by keeping an inclusive and friendly atmosphere will this revolution grow. If you're running for public office, you can afford to fight full-time already (after all, if you win, it will be your job, and you'll be able to do it without worrying about finding another source of income), but not everyone can do the same right now. If the "hammer finally drops," THEN it will be time to quit our day jobs and fight this full-time.
