Yes. However, PA was the highest percentage of any primary state. There were states before with primaries and the same head to head, and states after with primaries and the same head to head, and in all cases, Ron Paul did worse in that state than PA. Yes, it's not right to put that target of 16 or 18 or whatever it was and assume that we'll do better, but, in 2008, Ron Paul had his best primary in PA. I was there then. My region did best of PA. The Lehigh Valley to South Central came in around 20-25%. A lot of rock bands supported Ron Paul, had big shows in big, legit venues, that might've had something to do with it. This part of PA was more Ron Paul than Obama with the youth. I had pretty much lost interest by the time McCain clinched the nomination, but we did well nonetheless.

And I would think that Idaho would be very favorable Paul territory, especially without Romney on the ballot.

Definitely true that Idaho was a primary and he did best there. It "was" true for about a month that PA was tops, and I think I wasn't paying close attention in late May or since. Didn't realize that Idaho was a primary that surpassed PA. That's kinda a good thing, as PA just isn't the type of state to be great great supporters of Ron Paul. PA isn't Libertarian land. I would think that there would be a libertarian land, and that Ron Paul should do well there.
PA was more general GOTV than anything else. Santorum really should win PA, logically. Gingrich is also from PA. Harrisburg area. 3 of 4 candidates lived in PA.

Santorum will likely win the straw poll. I imagine Paul will get about 5 to 10 delegates, and the rest of the delegates will vote for whoever the RNC tells them to vote for (Romney).

I misspoke. Big difference. I've been a Paul supporter since the late 80's. I'm fully engaged.
