1. (If Republican or Republican Leaner) If the 2012 Republican primary for President were being held today, and the candidates were Rick Perry, Sarah Palin, Newt Gingrich, Mitt Romney, Michele Bachmann, Rick Santorum, Ron Paul, Jon Huntsman, Herman Cain, and Thaddeus McCotter for whom would you vote?

Ron lost some to Perry. It was before the debate, though, so we'll have to see where that shakes out.

I think we need a special forum section for polls.

Every time a poll comes out it gets posted like 10 times, and then ppl still can't find it.

oops, sorry! I looked at this page because I saw you had the Bloomberg one, but didn't see it. I agree a special section for polls would be good.

Maybe a section with all the major polls having their own tag, with a moderator or someone appointed to keep it organized. That way, you could click on the Quinniapac tag, for example and get the latest threads on that particular pollster.

It's really hard to keep track of the info here at RPFs.

Just as a heads up, I was contacted by Quinnipiac on 9/12 for this survey. They asked how I would vote on Romney, Perry and Bachman vs obama, but no mention of Paul. I waited until the questions were over and mentioned they should include Paul in the survey as he is a top tier candidate. It was added to the “comments” section of the survey. Its possible that's where they got the Paul tally from, from voters who specifically mentioned paul vs obama.

how do we make liberty popular for women??? I think we need to find a way to appeal not just to reason but also the emotional/compassionate side of women. Any ideas?

That's progress in Virginia. Weren't we lower in the last poll?

I think these polls highlight something. We are doing VERY well among men. The two areas we now need to focus on are, women and seniors.

In general, women are all about pathos. I had a long post some while back talking about marketing strategies and how Ron and most RPFers focus on the logos arguments, but I can't seem to find it now either with the forum search or Google. Anyway, it's a big problem if you are serious about winning votes from people who are driven by pathos.

Assuming women care about children:

Ron Paul won't send your children off to war needlessly, or kill children on other countries accidentally, or make other people hate us, so our children will be safer.

Ron Paul won't saddle our children with the trillions more in debt the other candidates are planning to.

Ron Paul won't let the TSA grope your children -- or you.
