Unfortunately a lot of parents never have, "The Talk" with their kids. My parents never did when I was growing up & the same thing goes with my friends & cousins. If there were not over 400,000 kids in the foster system I'd agree that it shouldn't be up to the schools to teach sex ed, but the reality is that it is needed. Honestly I don't care if that education comes through private means or public schools.
I guess the point I'm trying to make is that some people are rigid on a position to the detriment of fixing the problem. For example, if I was against abortion, I would be for preventing children from getting pregnant in the first place, i.e., comprensive sex ed, easy access to birth control, advertising, etc.
What I don't get are the people that are against abortion AND against birth control, comprehensive sex ed, etc. They say that their reasoning is because of their religious beliefs and there is no flexibility with their position because of that. But I see the hypocrisy of that since the bible says you should be killed if you are divorced or eat shellfish and yet a lot of christians have done both.
my wife is a 4th grade public school teacher, so be careful in painting a broad brush opinion of public schools.
Oh I know, although President Camacho would be so much cioler than Trump.

Wait, that's an argument? It seems like just an appeal to emotion![]()
well, if you think common sense is an emotion, then in your world you'd be right...![]()
President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho is a great man
Its like when people are like "not all cops are bad, my uncle is a good one" or stuff like that. Its an attempt to guilt-trip the person who is arguing with you because nobody wants to attack your family. But the reality is that government schools are implicitly indoctrination camps and implicitly teach the doctrines of secular humanism and statism.
She has the authority to teach whatever way she wants, and is not beholden to the whims of the local Admin. as long as she gets results. And thats the bottom line...
I sincerely doubt that, but it's beside the point. I've made the aforementioned comment about cops. I don't dislike everyone who is a cop, or a public school teacher. I dislike that public schools and government law enforcement exist. I'm sure your wife is an excellent teacher. It doesn't matter one bit to me who is paying her to teach, as long as they aren't being forced at gunpoint to do it.

Teachers and professors are great. I learned how to have a Christian worldview from one of my professors in college. It changed my life. He taught me how to apply the Bible to all of life. I like to square my criticism on the institution of state education itself.
I agree.Schools should quit teaching children to worship statism and secularism.incorporating religious teaching in public schools is a can of worms. You realize that right?

Does your wife make kids salute the flag and recite the pledge of allegiance? Would your wife prohibit a child from learning to read from a Bible?my wife teaches kids to read and write, and math. She heads up the robotics class after hours as well, and has organized a garden club for interested students. Is that what you're referring too?
