QAnon is Tearing Families Apart

Point taken. Q says there will be disinfo. He asks you to think for yourself and do some discerning. Blind obedience isn't part of the campaign.

Well, if that's all that you take away from Q, then that's fine.

But, as you might know, that is not what the typical Q-aficionado takes from it.

They think that there are kids under central park, and only Messiah Trump can save them.

...and there are secret marines on standby with sealed warrants.

...and Hillary's going to be arrested any day now.

...and, why not, something something lizard people.

See my point about madness?

The divide and conquer strategy implemented by the top down.

How can you think that post I quoted is mush? So concise.

The problem is state interference in the market economy.

The (ideal) solution is an unfettered market economy.

It isn't about any emotions or privacy or this or that buzzword.

It's simple; does or does not the state interfere in the market.

To the extent it does, there will be mothers unable to feed their children.

The other way, the other way.

In short, and this seems an odd conclusion here on RPF, the solution is liberty.

...kind of, duh, no?

You're simply trashing the supporters of a movement by saying the majority thinks a certain way. Happened to somebody else's campaign on RPF.

Ugly form of collectivism. People are individuals. They are also lost and confused in the current toxic environment. I put no blame on the masses for seeking and interpreting in the fog.

You can't get people to agree to an unfettered economy if they are divided against each other.

That's precisely what they use to push marxism.

We have to vote for another $10 trillion in deficit spending to prevent Marxism.

Got it.

Excuse me, I'm going to go drink a fifth of whiskey to sober up.

He is here trying to demoralize and divide people by using disingenuous arguments, I don't think many are falling for it now, but that won't stop him or others anytime soon. I'm not a big fan or supporter or Qanon either, so with that respect I agree with the OP, but I don't see how anything they are doing or anything the followers of Q are hurting anyone. Like you said, they are getting people to ask questions that none of us ever really asked before, and they are talking about the evils of the system, the unending corruption, how this country's most powerful are not working for the people anymore, and probably never did, and instead are actively working against us. The predictions when they have happened don't often seem to pan out, but it's the general idea that we should be questioning the media 100% of the time, questioning the narrative, and asking ourselves questions instead of obediently following any one politician, political party, news group, etc.

It's good for people that never cared one iota about politics prior to 2015 and now are looking into and researching what is going on as things seem to be imploding and corruption is being exposed every single day. If this is getting people more involved, good. So in that respect, I'll take it and when compared to the endless amount of apathy we had for the preceding decades, this is a huge improvement.

Things can be much worse than the current state.

If the US continues to slide, you better be right with God.

What I described is the QAnon movement as it actually exists.

If you find this disturbing, as you should, as any rational person would, perhaps you should look elsewhere for wisdom.

I find it disturbing that you attack the supporters, instead of focusing on the message.

I look under as many rocks as my attention allows.

99% of the population cheers for this government; hell should be at capacity.

Support is near all time lows for Congress.

Nobody who trusts WaPo has any credibility in describing anything.

Do you recall Molyneux's "defooing"?

Was that fake news, dannno, or just news?

Heard the same stuff on Love Line, it was a popular radio show. If a child was being sexually or physically abused, they were encouraged to remove themselves from the situation. Seems reasonable. I don't remember there being a big hub bub.

No hub bub, no suicides? I'd suggest you check out FDR liberated.

Consider "defooing" yourself from Molyneux, who is a conman.

His definition of "abuse" was strangely expansive, to say the least.

FWIW Know 2 folks who are very deep into following Q & both have lost touch with reality & in unhealthy state

Back in the day sensible theories, like the proven idea that thermite actually can bring down a skyscraper, were shunted off to hot topics. Now bat guano crazy conspiracy theories on front page cause...Trump? Trump did adopt what I would call the unifying thesis of 9/11 truth which is that the dubya administration could have stopped 9/11...they had the intel...and for whatever reason they didn't. Cool. What is the unifying thesis of QAnon? That there are pedophile rings in places of power like Washington DC? Okay. That seems proven. Just look at Jeffery Epstein. That Trump is some anti child sex abuse crusader? That's bat guano crazy considering Trump bought the Miss Teen USA pageant then bragged about going in the dressing rooms when these teenage girls were changing and when you consider that Trump knew, or had good reason to know, Epstein was a pedophile long BEFORE kicking Epstein out of Mar-A-Lago. That doesn't mean Trump's a pedo. (Though the Miss Teen USA pageant does represent some kind of sexual abuse of minors). It does mean Trump ain't on a crusade. Why does that matter? Because it causes people to put more faith in Trump than they should. I get it. Biden is arguably worse. But a saint Trump ain't.
