Q3 FEC reports going up now

I think those pictures get it backwards. Obama looks more approachable than Ron, whereas Ron never has his nose in the air, unposed, and Obama typically does.

But the number chart is great.

May I ask, WHO IN THE HELL IS GIVING PERRY $17 MILLION?

I wonder if they will demand a refund.

Here are my updated totals. Three times through the reports and I did the math twice.

Ok so I went back through a third time. If they listed Dept. of Defense with a branch of the military I counted it or if they listed Dept. of (branch of service). Otherwise I did not. I think this is the fairest assumption to make. Their a A LOT of DOD employees who are NOT military. So someone simply putting DOD as employer does not in anyway signify that even ever served a day in the military.

The reserves/National Guard are NOT active duty UNLESS they are currently called up. Only a small % is usually on active duty at any given time and we would have no way of knowing if this was the case or not. So I added them in a separate category.
These are my totals after three separate tallies.

Ron Paul

active duty military personnel .................................................. .................................................. ................... ..............$75,201.91
Reserve/national guard, these guys might very well be currently active, but there is no way to tell for sure...................................$6,372.13

Rick Perry

Active duty.............................................. .................................................. .................................................. ...............$7,325
Reserve........................................... .................................................. .................................................. .......................$3,000

Jon Huntsman

Active duty.............................................. .................................................. .................................................. ...............$1,250

Rick Santorum (Frothy)

Active duty.............................................. .................................................. .................................................. ...............$500

Mittens Romney

Active duty.............................................. .................................................. .................................................. ...............$6,555

Obama

Active duty.............................................. .................................................. .................................................. ...............$39,828.15
Reserve........................................... .................................................. .................................................. .......................$2,122

Herman Cain

Active duty.............................................. .................................................. .................................................. ...............$3,295

Fred Karger

$0

Gary Johnson

Active duty.............................................. .................................................. .................................................. ...............$1,000

Thadeus McCotter

Active duty.............................................. .................................................. .................................................. ...............$250

Newt Gingrich

Active duty.............................................. .................................................. .................................................. ...............$250

Michelle Bachmann

Active duty.............................................. .................................................. .................................................. ...............$4,632
Reserve........................................... .................................................. .................................................. .......................$150

I am going to create a revised graph using the ACTIVE numbers unless someone has a better idea.

Here's some more context.. there's 5 people that made over $20k in the quarter from salary:

John Tate $36,666.00
Jesse Benton $30,172.50
Dimitri Kesari $26,856.75
Steve Bierfeldt $21,669.25
John McCardell $21,498.00
1) Good people have to be paid well and 2) I think a some of those were expenses being repaid?

Are the numbers still coming in? Because it only shows $25 for my zip code, and I gave a lot more than that.

I think it is finished. I found out I am not alone in my Zipcode though... Now I wonder who the others that donated are. Zipcode 76137 $830.25

I made a bunch of donations for the Q3 push... maybe I forgot my zipcode, but I saw my name on the ticker... oh well. I hope it's all accounted for one way or another.

When is the name detail for each donor released?

Disagree. :)

You should county retired military, too. Dr. Paul does a lot of work for Vets and it should reflect in the contributions as a lot more than Romney and Perry.
:D

Agree. Need to use a more friendly fatherly figure photo. :) :D

I just put up Romney, Perry, Cain, and Dr. Paul by State. It is very interesting to compare side by side the state contributions.

Maybe it could be useful to have a chart of the top four. :D

There are a few states in which Dr. Paul leads all the others and that is with our small donations from many donors. :)

There are a number of states in which Romney leads by amount in the states by a little up to three to one for Dr. Paul. Some are very close. Perry leads in a few states over Romney and Dr. Paul. Namely, Texas, Oklahoma (!!!), Ohio, Florida, New York (I think). Wish we had these by number of donors.

This could be useful.

Looking at Iowa donations, Dr. Paul is ahead of all the "frontrunners" including Bachmann. Hard to say if the late surge of Cain could change things, but Dr. Paul certainly has "more" donors as well as more donated there. Is it possible that he could win Iowa? Unless Cain pulls a Huckabee there?

Perry's donations are low for Iowa.

I may be wrong, but I think name detail is only released if a contribution is more than $200 dollars. Anyone know for sure? :)

He only leads Dr. Paul in two state Pennsylvania (by 50k) and South Carolina (by about 6k). Many states have not contributed at all to Rick.
