I´m happy that newt is dead in the water. If the Cain Romney duopoly persists Newt might jump out of the race. That would be very nice. Getting Cain down in the heat of battle will be much easier than tacking on Gingrich.

Here are my updated totals. Three times through the reports and I did the math twice.

Ok so I went back through a third time. If they listed Dept. of Defense with a branch of the military I counted it or if they listed Dept. of (branch of service). Otherwise I did not. I think this is the fairest assumption to make. Their a A LOT of DOD employees who are NOT military. So someone simply putting DOD as employer does not in anyway signify that even ever served a day in the military.

The reserves/National Guard are NOT active duty UNLESS they are currently called up. Only a small % is usually on active duty at any given time and we would have no way of knowing if this was the case or not. So I added them in a separate category.
These are my totals after three separate tallies.
