Who said they were not going to take Kiev? They probably will.

Russia will probably even install puppet leadership in Kiev.

What Russia will almost certainly not do, is claim permanent ownership over western Ukraine.

Russia will do what is necessary.

As I have said before, Western Ukraine gave up their right to self determination, when they decided to deny the same to the Donbass.

I do not care what happens to Kiev.

You never explicitly said it was all Putin's fault but as far as I can tell every comment you made was putting blame on Putin so you should be able to see why I'd draw that conclusion.

The funny thing to me is that where it matters most I think you are more in agreement with TheTexan. I'd be more concerned with guys like TheCount who don't think US involvement is that big of a deal.
