PROUD day today!

Found out today after posting a picture of my ballot online that it's actually illegal. I took in a DSLR AND my cell phone and took a picture in full view...nobody said a word.

Fla. Stat. § 102.031 Fla. Stat. § 97.021(25), (26) Fla. Stat. § 101.51 Fla. Stat. § 104.0515 Fla. Stat. § 104.0615 and finally case law CBS Broad., Inc. v. Cobb, 470 F. Supp.2d 1365 (S.D. Fla. 2006)

Can you post what the statute reads?

2 more votes for RP today!

Took my girlfriend and we just got back. Seemed sort of empty at the polling place...

Thankfully you took a picture, everyone should do that.

I wanted too. They had large signs in the front saying NO PICTURE TAKING ALLOWED INSIDE. And the booths were not private. We were the only two in there with 5 workers staring at us. ( They must've liked our Ron Paul Shirts. ;) ha ha ha ha)

I felt GREAT walking out of there.

Go Sarasota County!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looks like it runs through those bubble scanners. I wonder if they have them setup to detour 1 out of every 20 RP votes into a "memory hole" of sorts...

I was wearing my RP shirt, but instead I had my jacket over it. I prefer that poll workers do not know who I am going to vote for, because at least then I can't expect any 'funny business' in case they do not like my candidate of choice.

I was under the impression that voters couldn't wear clothing advertising any one candidate at polling places.

Since there was a bit of a line where I was, I thought I'd need something to pass the time, so I decided I needed to reread a bit of Atlas Shrugged while standing there :D

do we have anyone making sure that any fraud is observed and reported? :O... i just cant help but feel that we get shafted all the time and the establishment and media dont give a damn.

Hmmm...I did the same. Was the first person to vote and only person in my precinct. Oh well the cops know where to get me.

Something like this?

That is classic! Stupid pocket folder dividers. It just made cheating just a tad tougher but not really.

It's really, really long...but here's the link to all of them:

I think this is the relevant section:

104.20 Ballot not to be seen, and other offenses.—Any elector who, except as provided by law, allows his or her ballot to be seen by any person; takes or removes, or attempts to take or remove, any ballot from the polling place before the close of the polls; places any mark on his or her ballot by which it may be identified; endeavors to induce any elector to show how he or she voted; aids or attempts to aid any elector unlawfully; or prints or procures to be printed, or has in his or her possession, any copies of any ballot prepared to be voted is guilty of a misdemeanor of the first degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s. 775.083.
