They're already nationalizing drivers' licenses. A few years back, one of my daughters was riding back to California from Arizona with a friend who got pulled over in AZ for a traffic violation. Her friend was a California resident with a CA license. The AZ cop ran her friend's license and was able to pull up a ticket that was overdue for payment in Cali. Now how does that happen unless our licenses are linked up nationally?

As a kid I remember driving up to Niagara Falls and the border patrol took 5 seconds, they didn't even bother with passports most of the time. They just looked inside the car, asked my dad a question or two and waved him on...That was coming back from the Canadian side to the US side.


In 2000 I flew to Canada for a conference...BTW I'm a brown man...Could be confused with middle eastern looking....on the way back at the airport in Toronto I must have misplaced my passport...I couldn't find it in my bag when I reached for it at the immigration counter....I told him I forgot my passport...


He asked me a few goofy questions, "Where was I born" and a couple others, then something like, "What did you do in the morning everyday at school?" I looked at him with a blank stare....he started giving me hints, "Everyday...in the morning...first thing you did.....in class...." and I'm like, "OH! The pledge of allegiance!"

We both started laughing and he said, "Next time don't forget your passport and you wont have to answer stupid questions..." and that was it! He smiled at me and was like...go get to your plane, silly...



I later found my passport in my other carry on when I got home....

That was a different time. I can't imagine what would happen if I made that mistake in 2014. I don't think they would be smiling and laughing about it.

Of course that could not be a tax-free MSA. It says that MSAs were passed in 1996 - I will add on 8/5/1996 - and then in October 1996 TIME Insurance Company, not Golden Rule, was the 1st to market and I enrolled the 1st one, sorry.

TIME was like you and said, "MSAs enjoy tax-free deposits, tax-deferred growth and tax-free withdrawals." But, when President Bush said, "MSAs have tax-free deposits, growth and withdrawals," I started advertising them that way because you only have 59 1/2 seconds in a 60 second radio commercial, everybody knows that.

The MSAs with an effective date of 1/1/1997 were automatically switched by TIME to tax-free HSAs without the client having to request the change.

As to health plans, I do my best to stay away from the medical industry and have never even had a cholesterol test (despite being north of 40.... barely). Our plans at work are BC/BS PPO, PPO+(select), and HMO. I'm on the HMO as I don't use it anyway and it is the lowest cost option.

I hear you The Free Hornet, say no more I understand totally. Your Blue Cross is also Blue Cross of Texas. The healthcare industry just saved the live of my oldest son. I only have one of those you know. He was in the hospital 8 days and the bill was $250,000. Thank goodness for those docs. I found out last Saturday he owes $2,300 above his deductible because his assistant surgeon was out-of-network and his cost was $35,000. Not bad for 2 hours work. My son is on the PPO and if he was on the HMO he would have owed the entire $35,000 in addition to the deductible. (Which is insane - the HMO should be forced to pay at least their network payment but they don't)

Let me tell you about this Phil Gramm. Gramm was just repeating the work of the National Center of Policy Analysis(NCPA). The head guy there and I have had a running fight for 19 years and his name is Dr. John Goodman. Goodman is the problem why to this day nobody knows what the tax-free HSA is. Every time FOX News needed an expert on healthcare policy they would have Goodman on air. About 2 months ago the NCPA fired Goodman for sexual misconduct. So we won't be tortured any longer looking at his ugly mug on FOX News. The new guy, Dr. John Graham, and I have become best buds so things are looking up.

You, The Free Hornet, are going to have a tax-free HSA soon because the next President wants to de-link tax-free HSAs from health insurance. This means everybody in America can have a tax-free HSA. The tax-free HSA is a free bank account so everybody will have one soon. Yes the HSA is FREE so there is no commission. To this day I can honestly say that I have never made a penny on an HSA.
