Proof Of God Thread.

to perceive all you need is some sense. A pathway of cells connected to nerves to a brain.
The blind can see using computer interfaces (though still imperfect right now).
But either way- you need something to sense.
Otherwise you are just making up your own dreams in a mind with no connection to the world around it.

I will not pursue this as you have not witness seeing things without connecting
everything with the material world or comparing this with a blind person I do believe that everyone has a guardian angel or a higher life form that leads and helps them if you seek them on this earth. I know what a dream is and I also know what actual perceiving is without meat eyes.

So God is just a concept?

In trying to explain God to someone else or define God in words, yes, a concept is as far as we can go. It is the personal experience of Spirit that makes it a reality and that can not be transmitted from one person to another.

"Love thy neighbor" is the best we can do. Hopefully that Love will be strong enough to motivate others to discover Spirit in their own way.

His eyes focused in the distance and I wondered what he saw?
No earthly pictures did he see and I knew he was a dying man

So you know just because you assume it to be true?

Did you accept this standard of evidence when George Bush claimed WMDs?

I know because I've experienced. By capitalizing Knowing in the second instance I refer to the gnostic concept of Knowing or recognition of the God-voice within.

You're mixing apples and oranges again (physical and metaphysical) in your second statement.

I have no reason to accept your metaphysical claims

Such a worn out argument. Christians always call that the "feeling of God within" is proof enough. This feeling, however, is noticed in every religion (dharmic religions have specific words for these feelings). This is one of the main reason religion still exists today- the feeling the "user" receives.

You are denying the fact that it's silly to demand a physical proof for a metaphysical concept.

I'm not making a demand, I'm making a request that people prove the existence of god. SO far so good.

I already stated it's not for me to prove a negative.

Keep in mind, though, that most people who believe in the god you are referring to believe on faith, not reason.

Correct me if I'm wrong about this: atheists assert that god does not exist, while agnostics just remain unconvinced either way?
