Prepare for Big Campaign Announcement

Sorry. I'm just too sleep-deprived to use the smiley faces right now. I have worked my butt off for this campaign. I have made my own flyers, made phone calls, sent money, made signs, spent money, and tried to justify the time and expense to my wife. I am ready to take the next step. I just don't want them taking us for granted. We're just as important as those on a "need-to-know" basis. I know, patience is a virtue.

I don't think the campaign knows how we're hanging out here. They could be having coffee and telling jokes thinking, what's the big deal if it goes out an hour from now as opposed to now. Or what if they decide to wait until tomorrow? Eek.

No, if it's news, surely they want to make the big Sunday papers and Sunday morning shows, right?

If HQ is being extremely careful to keep the "big announcement" under wraps, why is this thread even here?

Noodles, I'm sure they want to make sure everything is perfect before they release the news like every other press release.. and I'm also sure they didn't want the original poster to leave us in suspense.

I do wish that they'd get it over with and put it out there, even in a rough draft form, for those of us who've been waiting for over 12 hours now. The simple fact is that if you let some people in, and they go and leak that there will be big news but not what it is, and people are left hanging, it is going to alienate some people. It's not professional to have people running around "in the know" basically going "I know and you don't, you'll just have to wait lol." I feel somewhat certain that this particular situation was not something the campaign folks intended to happen though when they decided to share their info with others and not the entire community, as those I've spoken to at the campaign strike me as courteous and professional folks. Let's not pass judgment or blame them or Dr. Paul for this particular situation as it has played out.

I think they are most likely trying to confirm whatever plans they are making. They don't want to announce something that has the wrong info in it.

I'm sure it's that they want to get the details in the Press Release just right, before they release the official announcement. If something needs to be finalized, they need to do it before they let the cat out of the bag. You know as well as I do, that immediately whatever is said will be blasted across the internet.

John's probably kicking himself that he even raised it last night.

He should be. I was initially intrigued by this myself but now it just looks like a
"look how important I am, I KNOW and YOU DON'T", and I am getting the same tone throughout this thread.

Building anticipation is one thing, but I don't think this thread is helpful at all.

Hopefully the bigt news will be big enough to make it irrelevant. If it is a let-down, people are already feeling some frustration I hope this doesn't blow up in our faces.

Let's be fair. When John started this thread, he honestly believed they were going to announce it last night. He was clearly all excited about it. :D Geez, it's human nature. I mean... look at us since last night. :p

But, they didn't release it. Oops. No intentional foul here though. :)

Instead of putting ourselves through this misery, we could back away from the computer and go on with our day. The announcement is going to come out, when it comes out.

John started a new thread saying he just heard it on the radio, but still won't say what. Anyone else in Iowa hear it? Or anyplace else, for that matter?

If it's on the radio, then it's public. That seems silly *and* fishy to me.

If it's on the radio and John STILL refuses to share it here, then John is ... well, you know.

I'll pick up the tar, let's throw him in a pool and see if he can swim!
