PPP with a Florida poll out tonight between 6-7

Wouldn't mind seeing the Paul campaign not prioritize Florida. It's winner take all...50% of its delegates have been stripped...it's a closed primary and it's full of old people. All bad news...compare this to Nevada, Maine, Colorado, Missouri which come within a week after Florida... Believe non of these four are closed and all seem to have better Ron Paul demographics than Florida.

Florida is and always has been a lost cause. The clueless, zombie-like, TV hypnotized old people get their thrills from going to the post office and voting. It's like their personal olympics. Any support Ron does have will be massively outnumbered by those useless slobs.

It is great to see Rick Perry so low. It increases the chances of him dropping out, especially after his big defeat in NH and his upcoming defeat in SC. That means more debate time for Ron Paul. Maybe more fundraising from TX too. Plus, it might help with polls in TX and the border states, like LA.

Mitt 76 vs. Ron 17

I still don't see how a 2 man race is beneficial to us. We need the field split in order to bring down Romney. Yet still not a single negative ad against Romney. I just don't get it.

It is easy to bring down Mitt because there is nearly an unlimited supply of dirt on him. Bring him down when it's a two man race and voters only have RP to choose from. I believe that is the angle the campaign is trying to take.

lol... If we win South Carolina, we might have a fighting chance in FL other than that its a stupid state, they are too much involved in vacations and not enough in caring for this country.

The Florida Republican party is Jeb Bush machine land. Good luck with that, best not to spend any resources there that can be used elsewhere.

I live in Fla and do not believe he's that low. There's a lot of us here

I believe this to be a corrupt and dishonest election similar to any communist country where they speak the party line which is why there's no difference between them. Dr Paul is a fluke. A remnant from America's proud past. We are all remnants.
The last dying embers of the renaissance. Perhaps we can toss some logs on the fire.

Head 2 Head numbers with Romney in SC and FL show that we need a "SERIAL HYPOCRISY" ad vs. Romney!!!

Couldn't be more important...

Florida is proportional. Stop spreading MSM lies, troll.

My 90 year old great-aunt watches nothing but Fox and CNN, brings up politics and says that Ron Paul is the only one that makes any sense…before I even talked to her about him. She also says don't talk to or don't trust the police…its like Anti Federalist is in my family. :D

She lives in Florida BTW…Massachusetts transplant in fact.

I think PPP got 18-29 wrong

Romney - 61% of 18-29s?

Paul - 13% of 18-29s?

I just don't buy it.

It's winner take all. Source: http://www.thegreenpapers.com/P12/FL-R#0131

Given that, and the fact that FL is a very expensive state to campaign in (3 large TV markets: Orlando, Miami, Tampa; expensive hotels, food, etc) it makes sense for the campaign to skip FL and move right onto NV and the other three caucus states.
4 large TV markets, thank you. You can't ignore a metro area of 1.5 million people.

And another few million in the pandhandle makes it a very hard to state to campaign in and with the winner take all nature of the delegates...not worth it either.

It's winner take all.
Actually, it's questionable. Florida claims to be winner-take-all. Everyone is proceeding as if they are. But, if you read the GOP rules, it's not clear that they can be. So if a bunch of Ron Paul delegates from Florida show up and challenge at the national convention, saying that the rules say they are entitled to 10% of the delegates (or however many), it's possible the leadership will have to agree, and recognize and seat them.

So it's up in the air. If we go all the way, there's a good chance we can make it proportional. Otherwise, yeah, it will be winner-take-all.
