Palin's gonna feel mighty dumb for endorsing Newt after he bombs with this scandal.

I can only hope that people in S.C. are not as hawkish and easily led by emotions as that debate crowd was. But if that crowd was a good sample of their attitudes, Ron is gonna have a real struggle for 3rd if Newt's ex don't bring him down beforehand. I just hope it's at least a high third if we don't get second. Perry and Santorum finishing last will still be a good outcome regardless.

it took WEEKS and half a dozen women and half a dozen stories and constant pushing to bring him down. People already know Newt has had two affairs and three wives and is a total scumbag, but being the hypocrites they are, is totally fine with it.

Newt says he's turned over a new leaf. I say we let him demonstrate it for a few decades before we think about turning over the keys to him.

I think he will take a hit from it, how big is any persons guess. Candidates like Santorum and Newt go up and down quite quickly with soft fickle voters.

But that's not how it would go. Mitt Romney will NOT debate Ron one-on-one if he is the presumtpive nominee and everyone else drops out.

exactly ! polls show that economy and jobs are the main issues, yet people dont understand how Newt and Romney both are liberals in Republican clothing !
lots of people need to be informed.

You know what's amazing? Both Cain and Newt, it seems, could only be taken down by some story that has nothing to do with their support for bailouts, etc. This just tells you that the voters don't really believe in anything.

I predicted Newt was the establishment pick for the GOP from the very beginning of his 'surge' last December. The establishment doesn't want Romney.

He has already started to suck up to us but it's not going to work. Fortunately there is no way Paul will ever endorse him.

And James Madison, I had you beat by a few months on calling the Newt-ron bomb. Still, good looking out to see it.

I think the establishment would be fine with Romney, but sees that Romney isn't catching on so they're trying to hedge their bets.

If Romney hasn't lost support / Grinch has gained it at the expense of Santorum, that surely means 3rd is all but guaranteed. Santorum WAS in contention for 3rd before, yet obviously won't be now.
