PPP SC Tweets (1/18)

Newt is about to get nuked by his ex tomorrow. The game is about to change!

I hate to say this but Newt MUST win SC. Romeny needs to be derailed at all costs; meanwhile, the most unelectable candidate gets propped up for a while while Ron and the grassroots work their magic in the caucus states.

not sure I agree. However, we aren't going to get to pick our preference in any event.

You know what's amazing? Both Cain and Newt, it seems, could only be taken down by some story that has nothing to do with their support for bailouts, etc. This just tells you that the voters don't really believe in anything.

Sad but true.

I think as long as Santorum and Perry (or just one of them) drops out after S.C., we will be fine.

As long as that happens, we will be in at least a slightly better position, no matter who wins S.C.

Paul really needs a third, though.

Based on this tweet: "Mitt's not really losing support in SC but Santorum's really collapsed and his people clearly are going to Newt" I'd say Paul is in 3rd, but if we gain Newt's supporters after tomorrows debate and hit piece is hard to say. I do think it's best Romney doesn't get first though, but we want Paul to get 3rd and be close to the top two for sure.

This is true. If Romney wins in SC, everyone will drop out for the most part and Mitt Romney will be presumptive nominee Romney and start attacking Obama, refusing to debate Ron Paul and it's over.

i don't know why so many of you think the claims of an ex-wife are going to hurt newt. pfft plenty of people with bitter lying exes. its not gonna hurt him one bit.

it will depend on what she says. It might not be personal, but professional.

I think it would be better if this Newt thing comes out after. Therefore, Santorum AND Newt will be out.

hahahah

Agreed. Whatever she has to say better be pretty damn shocking, and she better have proof, or this story isn't going to have legs.

Which is good because we need Newt to win in South Carolina to keep this race competitive.

I don't know but was wondering if it was about that supposed FBI investigation. If so, it isn't a personal thing, so much.

I think Keeping newt in the race is bad. Apparently his past transgressions are having nearly no effect on the populace and he will just draw support away from Ron Paul as we move forward. If Ron beats Newt in S.C. -- Newt will drop as well as Santo. Then it will be Mitt and Ron all the way home. If we keep allowing these fake conservatives to "stay in the race" they dilute the conservative vote for Ron.

Not True it did hurt Cain.

Cain wasn't hurt until a BUNCH of women came forward saying he used a position of power to sexually harass him, then you had the cheating affair. none of them were ex-wives. this might hurt him a little with women, but might even bump him up with men.

emotion. deeply religious SC voters will hear from the former wife -not read, hear- that he proposed his future wife before divorcing her. then they'll recall that newt got married three times. big hit among evangelicals. they might go to santorum.

If this ex-wife thing is as effective as we hope, those supporters will just go back to Santorum.

I think Newt winning SC would be a good thing. It causes more uncertainty about Romney and gives Ron an edge as the guy between the two crooks.

Bottom line

If Mitt Wins SC it'll be really tought to stop his momentum going foward

If Newt can Pull off SC or Florida it'll dent Mitt Romneys inevitability and with Newt not being on the ballot on many states gives us an IN to win delagates as Romney and Newt Slug it out in the media.

If it's a two man race between Paul and Romney, Romney will just stop doin debates and we'll get no media
