Gingrich and Romney basically running even on the first night of our South Carolina poll. No one else close

About 60% of SC voters saying they watched the debate Monday night...really could be the reason for Newt's momentum

Mitt's not really losing support in SC but Santorum's really collapsed and his people clearly are going to Newt

1 thing not driving Newt surge- Palin's comments yest. More voters say they'd consider her endorsement a negative than positive

Looks like it's perhaps going to be 3rd for Paul. :(

Mind you, isn't that still better than 2 weeks ago?

Why is is that voters in Iowa didn’t fall for the Newt deception, but they seem to be in SC?

According to Drudge ABC will air the interview on Thursday. Where will Newt's supporters go? Back to Santorum?

Sc is saturated with negative ads on everyone, people are just ignoring them. In Iowa I think newt was the only one taking hits so people paid attention

Sucks. It was probably the debate if it's that many who watched it. Out of all the questions, he decided to have a long and ramble talk.

So basically 60% War Mongers cheered the killings? South Carolina,South Carolina i am disappointed.

I hope Paul does well on Thursday.

today's news will make voters more receptive to criticism of newt. time to run ads telling them newt supported the bailout and the individual mandate.

Palin's gonna feel mighty dumb for endorsing Newt after he bombs with this scandal.

I can only hope that people in S.C. are not as hawkish and easily led by emotions as that debate crowd was. But if that crowd was a good sample of their attitudes, Ron is gonna have a real struggle for 3rd if Newt's ex don't bring him down beforehand. I just hope it's at least a high third if we don't get second. Perry and Santorum finishing last will still be a good outcome regardless.

We need to knock frothy out, he is unelectable. If we get 3rd, we will still be in 2nd with delegates I believe and hopefully perry and frothy will drop.

Interview with Newt's wife airs tomorrow. Romney may come out with a huge win with Ron 2nd.

That debate pushed a lot of people to Newt.

And Santorum and Paul are neck and neck.

We really cannot manage anything less than third...

but the Newt ex wife thing doesn't come out until the polling is over. PPP also tweeted asking if anyone wanted to sponsor them to go into the field Friday to poll the impact....

They said Santorum had collapsed, it hardly sounds like Ron would be 'struggling' for third, but it does sound like, so far, a more distant third.

I hate to say this but Newt MUST win SC. Romeny needs to be derailed at all costs; meanwhile, the most unelectable candidate gets propped up for a bit while Ron and the grassroots work their magic in the caucus states.
