PPP Poll: Rand is 1 of 5 hypothetical candidates in double digits for 2016 Iowa Caucus

I'm pretty sure the caucus still happens if Romney wins. Right?

I think it would happen, but if Romney's the incumbent going into 2016 then nobody will run against him for the Republican Nomination.

EDIT: And by nobody, I mean the people listed in that PPP Poll.

Has there been any polling for NH yet? I thought there was supposed to be one back in May, but I couldn't find anything on it. I guess not.

Anyway, if Rand is now double digits, that's an increase (wonder by how much). Back in May it was: Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum at 16%, Chris Christie at 15%, Jeb Bush and Sarah Palin both at 10%, Rand Paul 9%, Marco Rubio 7%, and Paul Ryan 5%.

Not surprised by Rubio and Christie-- Rubio is the 2nd most mentioned Senator in the mainstream media, according to a recent study. Rand came in as the 8th most mentioned, in the study.

I wonder what the actual numbers are? If Romney wins we're screwed for 8 more.

Not at all. We could focus all our energies on electing more Justin Amash and Thomas Massie's to Congress! Those elections are relatively cheap compared to Presidential elections.

Did you see the article talking about how Rand will be the only person in a position to primary Romney if he were to win and then start misbehaving? ;)

In fact, if Romnney becomes President, Rand will be the most powerful Republican in the country, because he will have the ability to force the Administration to do what he wants, or else they will face a very viable primary challenge from the right.

Compared to the even more important State Legislature races at $100k House and $200k Senate?

What a bunch of smucks he'd be competing against with those names...
I can just picture Santorum and Huckster trolling around Iowa again.

Will Christie be larger than fat bastard by then?
