PPP Poll - Florida General Election / Ron Paul Crushes Obama with Independents

The most surprising thing about this poll is that Obama is still winning. Wake up America.

Well they sampled more democrats:
Democrat ........................................................ 40%
Republican...................................................... 37%
Independent/Other.......................................... 23%
bump up the independent turnout just a smidge and Dr. Paul wins in a landslide.

What is the make up of the state?
This is from hxxp://patriotupdate.com/12423/florida-independents-key-to-2012

Given the make up of Florida’s electorate, independent voters will make all the difference. Democrats make up 41 percent of the state’s registered voters, Republicans account for 36 percent. Nearly a quarter of Florida’s voters have elected not to register with either party.
So the percentages make sense.

Dr Paul polls well among independants and democrats already. When he is getting a resonable 15-30% in the GOP nomination figure he will be well ahead of Obama. Once he wins the GOP he will win against Obama by a landslide and take the country with him. It's not just about an election this is changing the course of history. This is partly why the whole setup is exciting. It's like a house of cards getting really to fall. Once you can get into the GOP the whole thing will have a historic momentum.

The women are really letting us down. :/ Ironically, it's the older gen. giving us the biggest lead -- at least we know in Florida that we can sure up those folks in the General, but we are killed by that demographic in the primary. As a Floridian I wouldn't worry much about the state in the Primary. The RPOF is absolutely atrocious and vicious to us, and a lot of the electorate are hardcore Neo-conservatives.

look at the number of undecideds though. At least their minds are open.

If it's not abortion, then what is it. Typical libertarians are actually pro-choice, Ron Paul is one of the few exceptions. So what else is it that woman find so unappealing? It doesn't make any sense.

Women, in general, tend to vote for the 'sexier' candidate. They also value security above almost any other issue (economic and military security). Paul's stance on foreign affairs is 'scary' to some people and he loses the 'sexy' vote to Obama, Perry, and Romney. They vote for candidates exactly in the same manner as they would pick a mate.

Men do the same thing when it comes to women and hiring in the work place, but the more attractive candidate matters much less to men in terms of the presidency.

I retweeted @ppppolls tweets:

Ron Paul would most likely beat Obama in FL if the election was today. Down 1 with most undecideds GOP: http://tinyurl.com/4ysvkwj

Ron Paul leads Obama by 15 with indys in FL. All other GOPers trail. He'd get a lot of support 3rd party: http://tinyurl.com/4ysvkwj

PPP actually tweeted those things? I savored the moment as I retweeted.

I retweeted those. Not that I'm pushing third party, but they are good tweets.

They have been trying to push Ron 3rd party. They are a dem firm.

I'm aware, but I know you've seen some of their awful previous tweets. This is a considerable step up, and they probably hated it and hated the results, hence why I absolutely loved it.

Yes it does. Female voters have supported increasing government intervention in the same of perceived safety and economic stability. In general, they oppose Libertarianism because of that.

Very Sad...

Given that Dr Paul is only 1% away from Obama overall and he wins Independents by 15% I take that to mean that a large portion of registered Republicans would vote for Obama over Paul in a head-to-head general election? If I'm reading that correct, that's deplorable.

-----------
General Election Matchups:
Obama 45%
Paul 44%

Independents:
Paul 52%
Obama 37%
