PPP: More Texans Think Perry Has Hurt The State's Image Than Ron Paul

I assume it's like this:

1. Romney
2. Paul
3. Perry
4. Newt
5. Santorum

But not really sure... Romney doesn't play well in TX... but his national numbers are so large...

Had to reallocate all Huntsman's supporters in TX to their 2nd choice, but don't worry, it only took about 30 seconds

Hahaha.

I wonder if Paul will be 2nd or 4th, or even 5th. Hopefully there's a small margin between the top candidates there. Ron can't be polling low in his home state.

Also, when this poll comes out we will have an idea of what Mitt vs Paul in Texas will look like for Super Tuesday.

The fact that Ron can still get 28% of that chunk says a lot about the wisdom of the GOP elders.

Dying breed should die now. kthxbye.

Maybe Ron is 1st? ;)

I wish Perry would endorse Ron when he drops out. Who else would Perry endorse, he's got bad blood with Romney.

How could they think otherwise? Jesus, people in my state can be so stupid..... 28% bastards!

Everyone in my extended family supports Paul, though its taken a while. Every co-worker of mine is voting for Paul. A bunch of my old classmates have said they're voting for Paul. I imagine Paul's sitting pretty good in TX.

I doubt Ron is in the top 3 in TX. Hope I'm proven wrong.

Why? He was polling at the top in Texas back in the summer when Perry was peaking. Now that Perry is an afterthought, he probably has a sizable lead.

Texans like to support Texans...its kind of a TX pride thing. Even if they don't like them....the saying with LBJ was, "He may be an SOB, but he's OUR SOB." Kind of dumb really, but I'll take it with Ron.

Paul did pretty poorly in Texas' presidential primary in 2008, though.

Texas hasn't been polled in a while, but the last poll that was done in August, I believe, had it Cain-Paul-Perry.

Perry will drop out before Texas because he will not be beaten in his home state.

Ron in 1st or close 2nd in TX would be a HUGE story. Arguably the biggest story for Ron this election cycle. Texas is the second biggest state in delegates.

Those polls weren't scientific, IIRC they had Gary Johnson nearing double digits lol.

10/31 University of Texas

27% Cain
26% Perry
12% Paul
9% Romney
8% Gingrich

Perry being in the top three is not good for Paul. He could easily be in fifth.

It will depend on if they only poll GOP as they did in May or if they poll across the board, given that it is an open primary.

Paul may very well lead in Texas. When does the poll come out?

In National Polls, Ron Paul does best in the "South". What is the "South"? Overall, Ron Paul was at 15%, with 19% in the "South".

Is Ron Paul getting 19% in VA, NC, SC (ok, maybe now), GA, FL, MS, AL ? Florida is a pretty big state, and I haven't seen him any where near 19% there. All of those states are dragging down a number.

Might that be Texas?
