PPP: Iowa still looks very close between Paul and Romney but...

the poll is good to wake us up. also, a santorum win would damage iowa's image a lot more than a Paul win.

A Santorum win would hurt us less than Romney, as long as Ron Paul takes second in BOTH Iowa and New Hampshire, with Romney winning NH. But let's not worry about this. First in Iowa is still within reach!

PPP tweet: Iowa still looks very close between Paul and Romney but Santorum's within striking distance and has all the momentum

Next tweet: Given the current trajectory I think there's some chance Santorum could win Iowa without ever leading in a poll

It looks like those leaving Bachmann are going to Santorum. I still don't think that will be enough for him to win, he will need some Newt voters too and they aren't likely to vote for Santorum. It is very suspicious though with Santorum being nowhere near the lead for so long, and no donation support to even speak about that he suddenly has a surge.

I watch the cable news channels all day every day while I work as this election unfolds (and I haven't blown my brains out yet) and let me tell you - the push for Santorum these past few days has been HUGE.

Santorum surge is what they are ALL talking about. People will go with ANYBODY the MSM tells them to go with, and MSM has told people to go with all of the candidates at one time or another with one exception of course.

Makes sense. Much of the voter population is disturbingly fickle. How can they just go with what the MSM is telling them at the particular time? We saw it with Bachmann, Perry, Cain, Gingrich, and now Santorum. Don't they see they are getting played like a fiddle? Are they really that programmed by the idiot box?!

santorum is 1000x less "electable" than anyone else in the field, barring maybe michelle bachmann. he is on the wrong side of every issue nationally, from gay marriage to war. he'd ensure the biggest blowout in the history of american presidential politics if he were to be the nominee (which, thankfully, won't happen. ever.)

We need a top two finish. Santorum, first or third isn't a big deal, as long as we stay top two. Perhaps Santorum's bump will clear the rest of the field.

No, we need 1st. Ron Paul has to be seen as electable or it's over. We got to win this one. Second will be OK in NH, not in Iowa.

The problem is he hasn't been vetted. Evangelicals will CARE that he supported and voted for No Child left behind. He calls himself a 'full spectrum conservative' but he is NOT fiscally conservative. He voted for every major Bush boondoggle program while he was in office and voted to raise the debt ceiling 5 times.

That information needs to be viral and our folks need to have those facts with them at the caucuses.

Santorum is basically picking up all those that were first Bachmann, then Perry, then Cain, and then Gingrich. They probably aren't exactly the most motivated people.

This is one of those situations where you just feel helpless. You see this guy as a result of inflated media coverage, and the media is like a pack of rabid dogs. They won't let up.

The Judge isn't as influential as people think. People really don't understand how poor the ratings are on Fox Business in comparison to Fox News Channel.

he's getting more popular, or atleast fox is pushing him more. he has advertisements on local talk radio all the time now. just heard one a few minutes ago on RUSH radio in port st. lucie.

It's in God's hands. Best to pray. If God sees fit to have Ron Paul win, he will win.
