Christie 21%
Huckabee 17%
Jeb Bush 17%
Santorum 12%
Rubio 10%
Ryan 7%
Rand Paul 4%
Jindal 3%

-GOP voters clearly see Rand Paul, who has a solid 42/20 favorability rating, in a different light than his dad, who's at 36/49.

Looks like Ron's base might not translate to Rand as easy as we once thought. Lot's of undecided voters about Rand - don't know enough about him. You'd think another 3 years in the public eye + national debate stage people would grow his voter recognition. Hopefully Ron's Iowa base would translate well enough to make him competitive in early Iowa polling and leading him to winning that state. As we saw before, we would need to probably win Iowa to cement us as "top tier" and give us the momentum we need to win the nomination.

Yeah...too early. Rand will smoke Christie or Huck in a debate, and will have the conservative cred to back it all up.

Santorum won't do as well with Huckabee in the race.. one of the two would have to not run. Christie in a debate would be just like gingrich lol

I'd worry about Christie in a debate.

Christie is just a more hip, likable version of Newt. He will probably have the early lead but once vetted, he will lose his appeal.

- In 2010, Christie told Politico that America needs to come up with a "clear path to citizenship."
- In an October 2009 appearance on Sean Hannity's Fox News show, Christie voiced support for some gun-control laws
- Chris Christie, after going back and forth on the issue a bit, said just this August that "climate change is real" and "human activity plays a role in these changes."
- Chris Christie supports Race to the Top, because as governor, he applied for its fund Christie also called Obama a "great ally" in education reform and praised Duncan as an "extraordinary leader on this issue."

I will have fun destroying him.

Pro-life with rape and incest exceptions.

I personally consider the "life of mother" exception an automatic. If you have to choose one or the other, choose the already born.

Yes, but "life of mother" happens LESS THAN .01% of the time. And due to modern medical advances, it almost never happens these days.

jeb effing bush? the gop still thinks Bush was good. craziness

For some reason I will have faith that 4 more years of Obama will further polarize republicans to the liberty wing and they will be officially frustrated with putting up moderate candidates for the past two cycles and losing (McCain + Romney). If Obama is re-elected a tea party/social conservative will be the nominee in 2016. I'll be more worried about a Huckabee type in 2016 than a moderate Christie.

My thoughts too.
