Post Debate Strange Handshake: Ron Paul / Rick Santorum

It happens every Christmas at many households. Little Ricky thinks that this is going to be the year that he can beat his grandfather in arm wrestling, but just like ever other year Grampa Ronnie kicks his ass. So, not to look like a complete sissy in front of his cousins he finishes with an awkwardly macho handshake. Grampa just smiles and wonders what may have gone wrong with the child.

He did jerk his arm pretty hard backward. That was no hand shake. If all Paul had to do was get in a ring and beat these guys physically I think he would win. Paul is no slouch when it comes to physical fitness. He did challenge all of them to a 25 mile bike race, I notice none of them took him up on that offer.

Call me sensitive, I really don't care. But the reason Santo did that over animated handshake was to mock Paul.

I agree. When I saw it on TV, I said to those around me that they must have become friends or something because that was an overly friendly handshake. I guess perspective would help, but to me, that looked like the way old friends shake hands from time to time.

I think Santorum is losing his own mind trying to intellectually compete with Ron Paul.

It's like staring a Saint in the eyes, and telling him they're wrong, after you know you're lying yourself.

you're right! it's the type of handshake you give to your buddy with a pat on the back, like "good job". But Santorum is notoriously dorky and awkward so I doubt they're buddies or anything. But Ron's nice to everyone!
