Rate 2016 candidates by letter grade. To be discussed on Glenn Beck show. EDIT: Results added.

From glennbeck.com:

It is time for you to vote for who you think will be the best candidate for the GOP in 2016. READ THIS BEFORE YOU DO.

As we were talking about the candidates, I realized that there were so many possibilities, you could build a college football style GOP Top 25 list out of all of them. So, that’s what we’re doing.

Here’s what you need to do:
– Vote in the linked poll.
-IMPORTANT: Don’t vote based on what you THINK will happen. Vote on what you WANT to happen. We’re not looking for you to predict who might win, just who you think would be the best person to be the GOP nominee based on whatever is important to you.
– You will be asked to assign a letter grade to each candidate. Rate as many candidates as possible.
– If you don’t have a grade because you don’t know who they are or have enough information, just skip that person.
-The order of candidates is random, so you may need to look around for someone specific.
– Your grades will be entered into a point system that will give us the GOP Top 25 candidates.
– Voting closes Sunday at midnight. Results will be posted here Monday.
– Yes, this is more involved than your typical survey. That’s because I heard on the streets that you’re smarter than the typical person.

Good luck. Godspeed. Other well wishes.

Gave Rand an A-
Gave Carson and Walker B
Rubio and Cruz C-
Most of the others were in the D's
Bush, Romney, Santorum, Palin, Huckabee, and maybe a couple of others were F's.

I will never take Glenn Beck seriously again. Not gonna happen. He's blown it too many times. I'll pass on his ratings for candidates but give him a D+ as a talk show host and an 'F' as a libertarian.

Agree on all of above except the not giving ratings.

Voted in the poll. It's in our DNA here.

Somebody got an A+. Many well-deserved F's were given. F- option was indeed missed for some. Michael Savage will probably be mad that the Donald (gag me with a spoon) wasn't an option.

Glad to see Huckabee so low.

I've never understood Allen West's appeal. What did he ever do?

Scott Walker is the new flavor at the moment it seems.

Rand's breakdown was 3.1% F's, 4.7% D's, 14.3% C's, 34% B's, and 43% A's. Pretty Good!

They didn't give Cruz's full run down but said he had 42% A's. So Rand had slightly more A's than Cruz.

42

He voted for raising the national debt and then chastised the opposition afterwards.

Don't talk about the war hero like that! Serve your country and talk tough against islamofascism and you can do no wrong in the eyes of the teocons.

This is trash. Rand is easily an A+ and the best Senator ever. Yes he is better than Taft, Goldwater, and Calhoun.

Cruz, based on record alone is probably an A-
Walker and Haley should be given B-

Every1 else is bordeline trash except Huntsman who should be given a C+

Interesting results. Glad to see Rand in the top 5 at least. Interesting that Allen West and Ben Carson are 3 and 4. That must be because conservatives are raciiiiiist. /sarcasm

Actually only 3/10 candidates in the top 10 are white (Paul, Palin, Walker)

Not to entirely jump on the racism accusation train, but I suspect a big part of conservatives supporting Carson and West are simply because they're black, not because of their political ideologies.

Similar to Obama getting huge support from democratic/progressive grassroots supporters in 2007/2008, even if their ideologies don't match up all that well with his.

Identity politics trumps ideological politics in nearly all corners of the spectrum.
