My vote is for Burger King. I don't eat red meat and they have a BK Veggie option there. Their fish sandwich is really good too. Sorry if your choice isn't up there. I tried to keep it to nationwide chains.

Also, when looking up fast food joints I found Hot Dog on a Stick, which I find hilarious.

Taco Bell has tasty brown God-knows-what in shells. It wins.

I love that "tasty brown God-knows-what in shells". For .79 cent it can't be beat. The last time I ate a Burger King I was quite disappointed in the size of the burger in relation to the photo. Of course I only eat fast food about 6 times a year so can't say I have a thorough knowledge of all the fast food joints.

When I was going to school I California I discovered Jack in The Box. Still waiting for them to open one up in NY.

Arby's is only slightly ahead of Chick-Fil-A IMHO. I used to like Wendy's a lot until I started doing restaurant POS and networking services. Now finding a Wendy's that is clean enough for me to feel comfortable eating there is few and far between. Wendy's corp does provide huge benefits to their employees who adopt kids, and Chick-Fil-A, likewise, does a metric ton of community goodness.

Arby's/ Chick-Fil-A - I mean to say that Arby's has significantly better tasting food, but Chick-Fil-A takes a goodly portion of their proceeds and makes a sincere effort to "do good." We often say that people would be doing more charity if only the Government didn't tax us to death to do it for us. Chick-Fil-A and Wendy's are two companies that do it DESPITE the current situation, and for that I think they deserve some credit.

And oh yeah, McDonalds does the Ronald McDonald house thingie too. Of course they have a LOT more money to toss at it. I am guessing that the proportion of wealth to profit-margin that Wendy's and Chick-Fil-A throw at charity is better than double that of McD's, but at least McD's still tries to do something. :)

When I lived in Texas, I used to love Bill Miller Bar-B-Q and Taco Cabana. Too bad we don't have these up north.

So I thought I would kill for a Whopper after the SHTF but then I seen Chick Fil-A. Oh Chicken with butter and pickles sounds so good right now. They only have one in MI and it's in a food court at a Oakland college which I would probably need a Real ID to enter.

I have sent a couple of emails to them asking when they plan on moving to MI. I would start a location myself but I think you need to be religious.

I don't think you need to be religious per-se to open a Chick-Fil-A franchise, you just have to abide by their policy of being closed on Sunday and allowing super-extra latitude for employees regarding church and family stuff.

Chik-fil-a was founded by a Southern Baptist. They do a lot of work for feeding the homeless. They are tied in many ways to other religious institutions that help within their communities. As others here know I am not a Christian, but, I fully support this organization and what they do. I just wish they still had those scrumdileicious BBQ sandwiches they use to have in the '80s.

1. Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken
2. Dina's
3. King Taco

Beware Cabana!! I lived right across Research Drive for a time when that Taco Cabana was Taco Cabana. At the time, the family was fighting about whether to franchise or not. One side of the family got the name, the other side of the family got the restaurant (now called Tacasita) and, near as I can tell, all of the recipes...

Nothing spoils a place like a second one, it seems. Leave it to success to spoil a good thing. Nothing beats the unique mom and pop shop down the street (assuming it's one of the good ones, of course).

Arby's, surprisingly, has a delicious turkey sandwich.

They have the best fries along with Dairy Queen from all the fast food restaurants that I've been too. Too bad they aren't close to me.

I went with Taco Bell btw. Something special about going out at 1am and getting 6 bean burritos.

It's all crap and not good for you.

That being said, I once ordered the menu at McChoke's in a drug and alcohol induced stupor.
