Poll: Do you support Rand Paul's method of working within the Republican party?

I think most people can sense it was the "obligatory" endorsement though. It's not like Rand is out stumping for Romney, and issuing fund raising letters for him.

This. I'm pretty certain that Rand secretly hopes Romney loses so that he can run in 2016.

He has been campaigning for Romney. But that's something that comes with the office and being a member of the party.

But what matters are his votes. And so far, he's been an excellent senator. His 99-1 vote against war with Iran shows that.

Working within the Republican party is good.

Endorsing Romney is terrible.

I think the endorsement was a good move if his plan is to work within the party (which it is). Stuff like being the 1st one to say Romney will win the election imo gives him cover when he does things that aren't necessarily mainstream Republican ideas right now. It also allows him to criticize Romney if he does happen to get elected.

Lets be honest I doubt many of us will vote for Romney because Rand endorsed him so I don't really see why it's so terrible. Even Ron has endorsed some awful Republicans.

Everyone sweeps Ron's terrible endorsements under the rug like they never happened. Any other liberty candidate though the pitchforks come out and Paul supporters are ready to hang'em by their fingernails.

When Ron Paul was asked about his endorsement of neocon congressmen, Ron said in so many words that he was forced to do it. Rand to the opposite "Romney can save the economy" approach. Nobody believes Ron actually supported the people he endorsed. You (as you've said in the past) seem to believe Rand actually plans to vote for Romney. That's the difference. That said, what's done is done. Time to move on.

Who forced Ron to endorse these people? Keep in mind Ron has said before that many people ask for his endorsement yet he issues only a few. So I'm still wondering how much he's really been forced.

Rand being a U.S. Senator is forced to endorse the party's nominee, see I can play that game too. Moreover, Rand was totally open about this during his Senate run that he would indeed endorse the nominee.

Sure. But Rand didn't simply say "I'm doing this because I'm being forced to". So no. You aren't "playing the same game". Rand didn't do the same thing. But tell me this. What convinced you that Rand is telling the truth in that he really supports Romney? (Your words, not mine). It's clear from the video I posted that Ron wasn't really supporting the incumbent who's endorsement he was asked about.

Really MozoVote? Have you been watching the news lately? He is stumping for Romney. The man is a traitor.

The idea that we are going to elect one senator from Kentucky and have him be positioned to win every battle, vote 100% the way we want, and somehow change the U.S. government is a bit of a reach. A Romney endorsement sucks and time will tell if he is a sell out or just positioning himself in politics, but this debate shouldn't cripple your efforts.

We need more liberty-minded people in Congress, so we should start planting those seeds in our districts and we may produce quality candidates or might even influence position changes of incumbents. It's the message that has the power.
